Many people enjoy the aroma that lavender emits. People describe the aroma of lavender as floral, fresh, sweet, herbaceous, and, once in a while, barely fruity. Inhaling lavender elicits emotions of calmness and is both bodily and emotionally soothing.
Lavender Essential Oil is Versatile
Lavender is regularly referred to as a complete medicine chest unto itself. It has many (many) special uses and can also be blended with different important oils depending on the desired impact.
• Topical Use: Lavender oil has a relaxing effect on the pores and skin when diluted with a carrier oil, is beneficial for computer virus bites, promotes skin tone stability, and can be used to heal minor wounds. The combination may be used simply as you would a lotion or moisturizer, a couple of times daily. For hair health, you could blend multiple drops of lavender and castor oil and rub them into your scalp as a relaxing end to the day and/or add 2 or 3 drops to every dollop of shampoo or conditioner.
• Diffused Into The Air: Diffusing lavender oil into the air can help relieve anxiety symptoms, relieve congestion, and help your body relax or sleep. To do this, you'll want a small tool referred to as a diffuser so that it will disperse small debris into the air for inhalation. Add water and some drops of lavender essential oil and diffuse right into a room.
• Bath: Add a few drops of lavender oil to a bath for a relaxing soak (Epsom salts are also effective).• On Your Pillow: Use a few drops to relax before falling asleep. • Around the House: A few drops of lavender oil on a rag can be used to clean surfaces in your home. You can also add some drops to a reusable dryer ball to refresh your laundry or integrate lavender oil and water into a twig bottle for a clean room spray (simply make certain to shake it before using).
Lavender Essential Oil Has Many Uses
Lavender essential oil has been extensively researched for its numerous therapeutic benefits. Here are a few methods you could use it:
Sleep Support: In an amber aromatherapy spritz bottle, add some drops of lavender oil and a 50/50 grapeseed and water combination. Shake well before using and spray on your pillowcase or use as a neck rubdown oil for a restful night's sleep. Relaxation Support: Add some drops of lavender to your bath, or blend it with avocado oil and use it as you would a rubdown oil when you want to calm your mind.
To relieve headache pain, massage a few drops of diluted lavender oil onto the lower back of your neck and/or temples, just above your upper lip, or diffuse in a room. Dilute multiple drops of lavender oil with carrier oil and apply it at once to minor wounds to hurry healing.
Apply diluted lavender oil topically as a computer virus repellent. (Candles scented with lavender oil can also assist in repelling mosquitos.)
Insect Bites: Blend multiple drops of lavender and tea tree oil with a teaspoon of baking soda and water to reduce the infection of computer virus bites. Apply the paste to the affected area.
Make a topical combination by combining some drops of lavender oil, three drops of rosemary oil, multiple drops of thyme oil, and multiple drops of cedarwood oil combined into a mix of coconut and grapeseed oil.
Respiratory Health: Diffusing lavender oil while feeling congested or filled up, or applying a mixture of lavender, eucalyptus, and grapeseed oil to your chest, will allow you to breathe easier while congested. Beauty: Add multiple drops of lavender to a moisturiser or service oil, which includes tamanu or coconut oil, and use it on your pores and skin.
