Why is failure not important to success?

Internal defeat is a mindset, where you begin to believe that most new ideas will fail. You might think -“After all, what I tried in last week’s Yoga class, failed”

You will always learn from mistakes. Examine yourself the results, and study them closely for the reason why they went wrong.

Whether it is a lesson plan, trying mantras, Hot Yoga, Gentle Yoga, a pro shop, or trying anything new, it is better to make mistakes than do nothing at all.

Some of the most successful Yoga teachers, I know, deal with mistakes as part of the learning curve.  All of their defeats into learning experiences.  Extremely powerful when you consider the cost of learning anything of value.

After all, what did you spend on your education, so far? Did you think you would stop learning at a certain point in life? Did you learn from your past mistakes? Of course, you did, and now you are stronger due to the corrective adjustments, you have made.

When a child learns to ride a bicycle, there are plenty of falls along the way, and then the falling stops. The killed adults also fall off bicycles, sometimes.

Henry Ford and the Wright Brothers had failures, but nobody seems to remember that.  You are not a failure, but you may have failed in the past, just like they did.

When you take on your next project, do the research first, assemble a team, make a full commitment to succeed, and never mentally quit before you start.

Lastly, whenever it is possible, learn from the mistakes of others. The Yoga businesses approach me for consulting services: To save money by avoiding known mistakes, pitfalls, and traps.

Failure is not the road to success – PRACTICE is the road to success.  Who succeed do not fail over and over again.  They commit to practicing their craft every day, learning from what they did every day, then taking that daily feedback and using it to practice better the next day.

You always have the opportunity to learn from mistakes.  Your mistakes clearly as a test, examine your process and results, and study them closely for the reason why things did not go as planned.

To fail is not to succeed, and success is the absence of failure,  firstly, failure starts where success ends, and it defines the limits of success. But secondly, success often follows failure, since it frequently occurs after other options have been tried and failed

Failure won't kill you, but your fear to fail just may keep you from success. Success is good, but failure is better. Let successes get to your head, but also must not let failure consume your heart.  Failure simply means there is something to be learned or another direction to be taken.

A ton of failures don't automatically lead to success. It is largely the relationship you have with those failures, particularly how you see and respond to them, that makes the difference.

Failure is not a step backward; it’s an excellent stepping stone to success. We never learn to move out of our comfort zone if we don’t overcome our fear of failure.

It means you are actually active, doing something, moving forward. Too often we buy into what society says, or what the past has shown us, will work or not work. When we do that, we limit ourselves, and we impede our ability to make big things happen
