Cyberpunk 2077 is the upcoming game by the Polish video game developer CDProjektRed. The people behind the critically acclaimed Witcher series.
Lately the game is receiving widespread love and almost everyone is waiting for the game to be released. Why is this happening? Well, there are some reasons for that.

1. The name, the myth, the legend
The initial trailer of the video game was uploaded on YouTube around six years ago and it was enough to create a sense of curiosity amongst the gamers. But it left the focus of the gamers when The Witcher 3 came in 2015 and was very positively received by the critics and the gamers alike. It was so great that almost everybody who played this game got aware of CDPR. There were people who did not know CDPR while they were playing the epic tale of Geralt of Rivia but by the time they reached to the end of the game, they were so moved with the game that they end up looking up CDPR on the internet and got to know them.

2. Goodwill of the developers
The developers behind the critically acclaimed Witcher series are so adored worldwide that they have almost attained a cult like love for themselves. Do they deserve it? Yes, absolutely. Not only are they great game developers, they're nice people, too. They're not holding on the ropes of loot boxes and highly priced exlusives and other gimmicky stuff. They love their fanbase, reach out to them very often and very openly, give free DLCs, listen to what the gamers have to say about them. Ever looked at how much goodies they put even in their standard video game editions? See for yourself. These are great guys. I have reached them out on their facebook page with questions that are very stupid, and guess what, they always respond!
3. Style
The game is stylish. With inspirations from the cyberpunk genre that includes human augmentations, sky high buildings, technology we cannot completely fathom, aesthetically pleasing implants, a thoroughly well understood and crafted future world. The cars, the dresses, the augments, the people, the streets has the right amount of sass. Enough to get you hooked. From the looks of it, the game has enough magnetizing content that you will not get bored even if you just explore the cities, look around and comprehend the design of everything around you from the dragon on your jacket to your very own Yaiba Kusanagi.

4. Substance (over style)
Finally, no matter how good a game looks, what always matters is how good the game plays out. I have seen really eye pleasing video games which had really bad gameplay. Cyberpunk 2077 does not do the 'style over substance'. It stays true to its genre's roots while offering enough content. There is so much going on in the gameplay demo that was shown to us last year as well a couple of days back, stuff that puts most games to shame with branching storylines to modern cities to great awesome weapons to the freedom of choice to that beautiful motorbike to that garrotte that can slice people in half. It's like Deus Ex on steroids, the right kind of steroids. It does not hold anything back and dances over the fixed set rules of video game making.
