Why IPL is Most Popular Cricket League?
IPL:- All Over the World, there are many Cricket League, held in different parts, But “IPL”-‘Indian Premiere League is the most famous league globally. As it is watched all over the world. IPL is a league that is held every year as IPL is a league where all players, all over the world can play for one Team. IPL is a T20 league means a 20 over a mile.
How does a player play for a Team? :- There are eight teams in IPL that Bid for a player, and as which team bid more amount, the player will play in that particular team, all this process is known as ‘Auction.’ The team management has a fixed budget for the Auction.
In IPL, there are eight teams, namely:- Mumbai Indians, Chennai super kings, Kolkata knight riders, Royal challengers Bangalore, Delhi Capitals, Punjab kings, Sun risers Hyderabad, and Rajasthan Royals.
All these above teams fight for the IPL Trophy. The above sections have their fixed owners. The Mumbai Indians' owner is Mukesh Ambani. Kolkata knight riders have two owners, Shahrukh Khan, and Juhi Chawla. Punjab king's owner is Priti Zinta, and others teams also have their respective owners. The owner has the right to select that who will be the team coaching staff.
IPL History:- IPL has started from the year 2008, till now. There are many changes which are taken place in this league. As some teams had changed their names, and some sections got suspended due to match-fixing. The teams Chennai super kings and Rajasthan Royals were caught for match-fixing in 2015 for two years. In these two years, the new teams Rising Pune supergiant and Gujarat Loins were in the league. After two years of suspension, the teams Chennai super kings and Rajasthan Royals were unbanned, and now they are playing in the league.
IPL Champions:- In IPL, all eight teams fight for the IPL Trophy, but only one team wins that trophy. In IPL, Mumbai Indians is the most successful team, as they had won 5 times the IPL Trophy. After Mumbai Indians, the next successful team is the Chennai super kings, as they had won 3 times after that Kolkata knight riders had also won 2 times IPL Trophy.
The year and the champions:- As the IPL is started in the year 2008. In 2008 – Rajasthan Royals had won the IPL Trophy. In 2009 – Deccan chargers had won the IPL Trophy. In 2010 – Chennai super kings had won the IPL Trophy. Also, in 2011 – Chennai super kings had won the IPL Trophy. In 2012 – Kolkata knight riders had won the IPL Trophy. In 2013 – Mumbai Indians had won the IPL Trophy. In 2014 – Kolkata knight riders had won the IPL Trophy. In 2015 – Mumbai Indians had won the IPL Trophy. In 2016 – Sun Risers Hyderabad had won the IPL Trophy. In 2017 again – Mumbai Indians had won the IPL Trophy. In 2018 – Chennai super kings had won the IPL Trophy. In 2019 again – Mumbai Indians had won the IPL Trophy. Also, in 2020 the Mumbai Indians had won the IPL Trophy.
Venue:- IPL is an Indian Premier League, BCCI organizes it. Every year it is held in India, But in 2020 Due to Covid-19, IPL was held in UAE.
