Why India Doesn't Host The Olympic?

Why does India not host the Olympics? Get to know only in minutes. There are three major reasons for it. The first one is Economical, the second one is social, and the third one is branding. The last Olympics was hosted in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. That Olympic cost was approximately 14 Billion dollars which is so expensive. India can host the Olympics, but India can't get any return from the Olympics, only we can lose the amount. In last some Olympics like Rio Olympic games and London Olympics. These cities had removed industrial areas and slum areas for making land for the Olympics. And both cities abandoned the grounds because of cost. The cost of maintenance for grounds, approximately $30 million.

When Greece hosted the Olympics, it is the economy. It was struggling because of this so expensive cost. Once Olympic has done, those stadiums where it was hosted be abandoned for not having that much money to maintain. Neither India nor other countries want to host the Olympics because of this. In the 2004 Olympics, 12 countries wanted to host the Olympics, but now, in 2024, there is only 2 application for it. The London Olympics, scheduled for 2012, was initially said to cost 2.4 billion; that has already become 9.3 billion (Rs 65,000 crore). For reference, the Delhi Games have cost Rs 11,600 crore (against an original budget of Rs 1,850 crore), with the Delhi government spending another Rs 16,500 crore on city infrastructure.  As you can see in the image of what is the condition of these grounds where the Olympic was done :

The second issue is that social problems in the Tokyo Olympic people were protesting against the Olympic games. Less than a month left for the 2021 Olympics to begin, but a part of the Japanese population is still not convinced that the Games can be held safely in Tokyo. Protests are being held in different parts of the city.

Starting from the major metro stations to famous public spots in Japan, protests were also held in front of the Tokyo Metropolitan Building and the headquarters of the organising committee. Protests have amplified especially after two Ugandan nationals tested positive for coronavirus after landing in Japan a few days ago.

From the massive protest near the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to the headquarters of the Organising Committee for the Olympic Games heard the same slogans that said ‘No Olympic 2020’, ‘Olympics kill the poor,’ ‘Get out IOC,’ ‘No Olympics anywhere.’

And the third one is the branding issue. Some years ago, TV only was the way to advertise and but now the smartphone also. The advertisement problem is the advertiser only looking at cricket games; they are not looking at other games in Tokyo Olympic Indian hockey team was sent to the Olympic games but there was no sponsor for it. But the honorable chief minister Naveen Patnaik had done the sponsor to team India with his state, "ODISHA."

India needs sponsors, branding and social support, and the economy. It is not that India cannot host the Olympics. Of course, India can host, but there will be too much cost, and no one thinks about it. If India hosts the Olympic games, there will be a financial crisis. This is why India doesn't host the Olympic.
