Islamabad [Pakistan], March 19 (ANI): The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has amended its plans to hold a long march on March 27 against the Imran Khan government, local media reported.

The PDM amended its plan after the government led by Imran Khan of Pakistan Tareek-e-Insaf (PTI) planned to hold a rally at Islamabad's D-Chowk on March 27. However, the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q), which is an important attorney. The PTI-led government has advised the ruling party and opposition parties to withdraw their rallies as it could lead to more violent conflicts, reports Dawn newspaper.

"THE LONG MARCH WILL ENTER ISLAMABAD on March 27 and may remain there for two days or more. The decision was made in accordance with the instructions of the party leadership - Nawaz Sharif And Shehbaz Sharif," Punjab Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz. (PML-N) Sardar Secretary General Awais Leghari said.

Last week, the PDM postponed its arrival in Islamabad until March 25 from March 23 due to a meeting of OIC foreign ministers, Dawn reported.

According to the plan, the team will begin its journey from Lahore on March 24. Maryam Nawaz, PML-N vice-president, and Hamza Shehbaz will lead a series of horses. It will arrive in Gujranwala the next day and stay there overnight.

On March 26, activists will march on Rawalpindi, where troops from other parts of the country will arrive the next day and march together to Islamabad, a Pakistani newspaper reported.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Imran Khan has urged his party's staff to come to D-Chowk on March 27 for "the biggest ever in the country," reports Dawn newspaper. (ANI)

Islamabad, Pakistan - Tens of thousands of Pakistani ruling party and opposition groups stormed the capital, Islamabad, ahead of a parliamentary vote to overthrow the government of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Khan, under increasing political pressure, has urged supporters across the country to gather on Sunday to show their strength ahead of a crucial vote expected next week.

"It is a war for the future of our nation," the cricketer, who has become a politician, said in an audio message posted on Twitter on Sunday.

Activists from Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party began arriving early in the morning, a racecourse near the Faizabad Interchange, where people danced and sang group songs and chanted slogans such as "Long live Imran Khan".

PTI leaders say they expect more than a million people to attend the conference, though some say the facility will not be able to accommodate more than 30,000 people.

Speaking at the rally on Sunday, Khan said "foreign conspiracy" had created a climate of mistrust and that "aid was being transferred to Pakistan from abroad."

"We were intimidated in writing but we will not compromise on matters affecting the country," he said, without giving any details or evidence.
