Why I Love Winter

Autumn is the coldest of the four seasons in India. It falls in the month of December and ends in March during Holi. December and January are considered the coldest months of autumn. It comes after the autumn season and ends before the spring season (later summer). We usually feel it by the continuous decrease in the temperature of the atmosphere from the festival of Diwali (beginning of autumn) to the festival of Holi (end of autumn).

The winter season is the coldest phase of the year, beginning in December and ending in March. It is very cold all over the place during autumn. During the peak months of autumn the temperature of the atmosphere becomes very low. The mountainous areas (including houses, trees, and grasses) are covered with a thick white blanket of snow and look very beautiful. In this season, the hilly areas look like a very beautiful sight. Due to the severe cold and weather conditions in winters, people face difficulties while going out of the house.

Winter season

We face high levels of cold and strong chilly winds during the peak season of autumn. We see large-scale temperature changes in the atmosphere during the day and night, with longer nights and shorter days. The sky is clear, however, it is sometimes cloudy due to mist or fog throughout the day at the peak of winter. Sometimes it rains in autumn and makes the situation even worse.

Autumn routine

In some places of the country, the climate is moderate with normal temperature (neither too cold nor too hot) and gives a very pleasant feeling. All wear thick woolen clothes to keep the body warm during the whole winter season as well as feel safe from the very low temperatures. Winter season inspires us to face the struggles of life. Before winter, our life remains normal in autumn but in winter our struggle increases. Just as we get the joy of spring after the winter season has gone, in the same way we get the joy of success after struggling in life. This is the message winter gives us.

Autumn is a very cold season in India. It starts after autumn and ends with the arrival of spring. We see changes in the atmosphere on a large scale during autumn as compared to other seasons. The temperature of the atmosphere becomes very low, the winds start blowing at high speed, the days become shorter and the nights become longer etc.

Sometimes we can't even see the sun due to thick clouds, fog and mist, however, on other winter days the sky looks very clear and blue. It is very difficult to dry wet clothes during the whole winter season. This is the season of healthy and favorite fruits like orange, guava, chikoo, papaya, amla, carrot, grapes etc.

Why does autumn come

As we all know, the Earth revolves around the Sun on its axis. The rotation of the Earth on its axis plays a major role in the changing of seasons and seasons throughout the year. When the Earth revolves around the northern hemisphere (ie distance from the Sun), it is winter. The seasons change as the Earth revolves around the Sun. The Earth is tilted on its axis by 23.5 degrees in a circle of revolution (towards the Sun).

Natural scenery during winter

The hilly areas look very beautiful during the winter season, as everything is covered with a sheet of snow and looks very beautiful like a natural scene. The snow lying on all the objects looks like pearls. When the sun comes out, different colored flowers bloom and give a new look to the whole environment.

Green vegetables, flowers and fruits

Winter season has its own special significance. Crops like wheat are sown at low temperatures in early winter. Green vegetables are abundant in the winter season. In winter, we can easily get green vegetables like fenugreek, carrot, peas, brinjal, cabbage, coriander, radish. When the sun comes out, different colored flowers bloom and give a new look to the whole environment
