League of Legends is my passion, and this passion has led me to believe that I don't like traditional sports games anymore. I've played them in the past (and still do sometimes), but when I look at what they do, how they do it, and how it makes me feel, it's very different from the way League makes me feel. Sports aren’t fun
I used to love playing sports games, but I don’t anymore. The reason is that they’re just not fun. I don’t like the feeling of losing, and I don’t like how competitive they are. With every game, it feels like there’s so much riding on it and if you lose, it’s such a big deal. It’s just not fun for me anymore. Maybe it’s because I’m not good at them, but whatever the reason, I don’t enjoy playing sports games anymore.
Watching sports can be entertaining but playing them isn’t
I used to be a big fan of sports games. I would play them all the time and watch all the professional matches. But, over time, I’ve grown to dislike them. Now, I don’t enjoy playing or watching sports games anymore. There are a few reasons why.
Esports aren’t sports, they are a unique form of entertainment in their own right
I used to be a big fan of sports games, but that was before I discovered esports. Now, I don’t even touch sports games anymore. Why? Because esports is a unique form of entertainment that is simply more enjoyable for me.
Video games as a medium have matured and grown as time goes on
When I was younger, I loved playing sports games. They were simple and easy to understand, and they were a great way to relieve stress. However, as video games have matured as a medium, I've found myself losing interest in sports games. They now require too much time and effort to be enjoyable, and they're often filled with microtransactions and other ways to nickel-and-dime players. For me, it's just not worth it anymore. Thankfully, there are still plenty of other genres of games out there that are worth my time and money.
Esports has been around since the 60s
But they've only started to become popular in recent years. I used to be a big fan of sports games, but I don't like them anymore. The reason is that they're just too repetitive. Every game is the same. You play the same characters over and over again, and it gets boring. I used to be a big fan of sports games, but that was before I discovered esports. Now, I don’t even touch sports games anymore. Why? Because esports is a unique form of entertainment that is simply more enjoyable for me. You see, when you play a Sport, you know what your ultimate goal is: to win the game. In any given game of League of Legends or Overwatch or CSGO, the winner is going to emerge from the other end victorious and with a satisfying sense of closure that nothing else can give them. There's no such thing as trying your best and failing; instead, you can take away valuable lessons about how things could have gone better next time and try again with this new knowledge in mind. What’s more- unlike many traditional sports- you get immediate feedback on how well you did through in-game stats and instant replays so you can analyze where things went wrong (or right) without needing someone else's input on how good your performance is was.
eSports are here to stay, much longer than any sport
The recent popularity of eSports has led to many wondering if they will stick around. After all, we've seen fads come and go before. But several factors suggest eSports are here to stay. First, the prize money for eSports tournaments continues to rise, which suggests that there is more interest than ever before. Second, the audience for eSports is global, which means that there are more potential fans than ever before.
