Rock star GTA Trilogy: Definitive Edition wasn't exactly the grand launch people were hoping for. Mired by bugs and missing iconic radio tracks, the game was pulled off sale nearly as quickly as it went up. Its poor reception led to Rock star giving away the classic versions for free to those who bought the remasters.
Now, players who own the trilogy on PC can pick up one free game from a pre-selected list over on Rock star website(Euro game). If the games don't tickle your fancy, you can grab a Great White Shark card for GTA Online in 55 gold bars for Red Dead Redemption Online. Games-wise, you can get your hands on one of the following:

Tyler Cop called the GTA Trilogy: Definitive Edition "a mess" when the games launched last month, writing "Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy is rife with enough, bugs and glitches to make Cyberpunk 2077 flinch." Ouch. A big patch came with numerous fixes at the beginning of December, but little has happened since then. Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition has received mixed reviews from the community and reviewers alike, thanks to a myriad of technical issues and contentious artistic choices.
In response, Rock star promised to make amends by giving PC owners the classic PC versions at no additional cost when purchased through the Rock star Games Launcher. The PC version in particular stoked fans ire, with The Definitive Edition outright replacing the original games in the trilogy on the Rock star Games Launcher. The publisher decided to appease fans by gifting them the original releases – but now it has gone one step further. Until the 5th January 2022, PC owners of the Definitive Edition can redeem one of five games here

Prior to the launch of the Definitive Edition, Rock star seemed like a publisher that could do no wrong. Now, much like CD Project Red’s Cyberpunk disaster, the once golden games maker has some reputation fixing to do.
Our friends Digital Foundry wrote in its brutal analysis of the GTA Trilogy. "The end result is simply not good enough, and this is such a shame." Since launch, GTA Definitive Edition has received multiple patches across all platforms, with more due to come down the line GTA 5 gives the player one out of three endings, depending on the player's choices. Playing as the main protagonist Franklin, the player either kills Trevor (Ending A), kills Michael (Ending B), or teams up with both Trevor and Michael to take down their enemies (Ending C). Many fans accept Ending C as the official ending of the game, as it seems to be the one that most fits Franklin's character and seems the most fleshed out in terms of gameplay. While many accept the third ending as canon, Rock star has remained quiet on the truth, leading to ongoing speculation about the true ending of GTA 5.
