Why gentlemen, guys actually do Yoga.

Let's face it, in its first mention; Yoga may not come out as a very men’s work. But that is just the first mention of it. The deeper you go in it, the more you will realize that nothing can be further from the truth. More and more men are finding this and as a result many American men are now flocking to yoga mats where, it seemed, only women dared to tread. However the paradox is in India where it originated, until recently when women were even allowed to practice yoga — sometimes with limited use. Men now make up 25 percent of the 17 million American enthusiasts and this number is growing steadily. Perhaps it is because a number of successful men in various fields of life testify to the effectiveness of Yoga and openly represent its practice. Take Hip-Hop entrepreneur Russell Simmons as an example, as I read he practiced Yoga (such as Sting, Quincy Jones and Woody Harrelson), and increased my conviction that soon I would probably not do Yoga at all. Well, I'm probably overreacting that, though, to Simmons (a pioneer in that male-dominated life with testosterone known as Hip-Hop) to show off his Yoga Skills in the latest Yoga Journal Magazine, don. You may be surprised when many 'cats' start to follow the strategy. This could happen very quickly as I once read in an online article that the successful coach of the Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers, Phil Jackson, often uses Yoga Philosophies to coach both teams. It should have worked well if it led to the Bulls becoming 3-time champions and the Lakers winning their first championship 12 years back in 2000, both under his leadership. Now many yoga practitioners are inclined to love running, fast-paced styles like Vinyasa and Ashtanga. Personally, I adore the simple but powerful Sun Salutations similar to the Sivananda style of Yoga. I have shown this practice and other measurement situations to a few friends as well and these runners are shocked at how difficult yoga can be. They found that holding the asanas (or standing) resembling a peacock's shape creates energy — not the disgusting power of a power lifter but the powerful force of martial arts. Several athletes who support runners such as Tennessee Titans running back Eddie George, Broncos in charge of Shannon Sharpe, Oakland A ace Barry Zito, NBA star Kevin Garnett and PGA highlights Tyron and David Duval all once testified to this fact. No matter what happens, Yoga is also found almost daily by men as it really is a ‘way’ of exercise; sometimes in particular, many times in combination with common types of fitness drugs. So ladies and gentlemen, if you are still not convinced that this is not just a ‘girl’ job, do this, go to your favorite search engine, write one of the following: Peacock, 4-legged or wheeled. Try at least one full minute and you will be shocked — as my strengths as my nail friend once said — find out that "Yoga is not a joke!" Guys, 'real' guys really do Yoga.
