The Indian football is growing more and more nowadays. But football cannot make impact better than cricket in India. Obviously, cricket is the sport people are more liking in India. Cricket have a huge fan base in India. They are playing very well and they getting very good support from all over India. Also, football have a lot of fans in India. Football have a very old history in India.
In the past few years, Indian Super League making a huge impact in Indian football. They have the best teams, the best players, facilities, fan base in India. Nowadays, so many youngsters are coming to play football. Kerala, Bangalore, Kolkata, Odisha, Hyderabad, Mumbai... A lot of youngsters are coming to play football from these places.
Also, I league is improving so much better than previous years. They have best coaches, good facilities, stadium, fans etc. But nowadays, a lot of fans dropped their love of Indian football. In the previous year, a lot of peoples coming to watch football. But now it is reduced as half.
The main problems was that by the quality of the management. Let's take an example for Indian super league, the referee errors, inferiority football, management rules... Are making a huge impact in football. The main reason is refereeing problems.
As a matter of fact, the decision of referees make a huge impact in football. So they had to be controls match very accurately. Sometimes problems will happen by referees. But look at the Indian football, the referee makes a lot of mistake in a match. This is making the fans very angry, sad and to avoid Indian football. Lot of teams suffered by the mistake of referees. Some teams complained that about Indian football federation and FIFA. But it is still happening repeatedly. It is caused the fans to avoid to watch Indian football.
The second reason is the bad responsibility of management. As a look at the referee incidents, the management does not give importance for this one. It is still happening again and again. If they give importance to this problem, matches will make better quality, fans will enjoy it.
The other reason is cricket. Cricket is making a huge impact in India. In India, cricket have the biggest fan base, more than other sports. So a lot of people giving important to cricket other than football. As a matter of fact, the government gives very importance to cricket. Because that way of cricket, they can make a huge profit other than any sports. So they give big importance for cricket and less importance for other sports like football, hockey, volleyball...
Football have a huge fan base in India, but not Indian football. The football is getting an importance in the previous year. So as a world football fan, they can't accept Indian football because of poor quality gaming, bad refereeing etc... They needed quality football.
