Why Facebook Became My Favorite Social Media Platform in College

Social media can be a blessing and a curse. When I was in high school, I used Instagram and Twitter all the time. I was spending hours on those but Facebook took me 3 seconds to scroll. When I got to college I did absolutely 180. Facebook is my favorite social media platform, and that’s why.

Facebook is great because it is photos, situations, articles, and more. It's like all social media in one place so I'm not sure why we need something else! This is a place where all my friends are but the most importantly my family. When I log on to Facebook I can see what my loved ones, far away, are doing. My grandmother, accidentally shared her stars, my sister, on another wonderful trip, with my parents, enjoying time at home. I always know where my aunt went to have dinner on Friday and who promised to get married this week.

Facebook is a place where I show my friends and family what I did and I see what they were doing just by tapping on the phone. I watch great recipe videos, read wonderful Odyssey essays, and watch other teachers (don't tell me I'm alone). Yes, I still use Instagram and Twitter, but I rarely post there.

Facebook is my favorite social media platform because it allows me to keep in touch with my family, friends, and colleagues. It is one of the few networks that gives you basically everything you need to connect with others while giving you plenty of options to share what is happening in your life.

Instagram is my favorite social media tool. It allows me to be happy while building my business over time. Best of all, I can do it without spending money

A social networking site widely used by college students

However, a recent law study conducted by a Law student found that Facebook - once a college-only site - is the most widely used social networking site for college students - with 96% of students working on the platform.

With Facebook, users can not only post comments and photos, but can also view local news feeds, make live videos, create event programs, send messages to friends, ask for recommendations, and buy or sell items. Facebook also has a larger audience than most social networking sites.

Why is FB important?

Facebook, a major social media platform, has become a major player in the news. Its role has gone from being a network for friends to share personal information into a way for people to share, recommend and link together all kinds of information, including news.

How does Facebook help you as a student?

Student interactions via Facebook can allow them to discuss subject content at any time they need. Through Facebook, a student can post questions, share information and chat with peers when faced with any difficulties during study or while preparing for their assignments.
