American technology entrepreneur Elon Musk has announced the Internet connection in the Gaza Strip of Palestine. He said that his company Starlink will provide internet connection for international donors in Gaza.
Mobile and internet services have been cut off in the Gaza Strip due to Israeli attacks. As a result, the Palestinian territory has become isolated from the world and shrouded in darkness. In this situation, the local residents are not able to communicate with anyone. In the meantime, Israeli forces are carrying out ground operations along with air strikes.
In such a situation, many on social media called on Elon Musk to provide internet to Gaza. After that, in an announcement on Saturday (October 28), American billionaire businessman and technology entrepreneur Elon Musk said to connect the Internet.
However, he said that no one from Gaza has yet contacted him or his organization in this regard. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Musk said, "We don't know who is in charge of Internet connectivity in Gaza." But we know, till now no one has applied for internet connection.
Meanwhile, Israel is conducting a ground operation in the besieged Gaza Strip by completely cutting off the communication and electricity system. In addition to the airstrikes, the Israeli army launched a ground operation early Saturday morning (October 28). Hamas's resistance triggered a ground war that continues to this day.
The Israeli army said that the ground operation in Gaza is gradually expanding. Meanwhile, Hamas also said that its fighters clashed with the Israeli army in several areas.
In response to the desecration of the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque and the continued oppression of Palestinians, Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel in the early hours of October 7. After declaring war against this Palestinian liberation group, Israel started airstrikes in Gaza. Along with airstrikes, its army announced ground operations in Gaza.
After that, for more than two weeks, the Israeli forces have been threatening the final ground operation on the Gaza border with thousands of soldiers. Then last Wednesday and Thursday night they conducted a limited ground operation.
Military spokesman Daniel Hagari told reporters, "The operation of the ground forces is being increased tonight (Saturday) following the series of strikes of the previous day." Israel's military also said it has increased strategic airstrikes. 150 tunnels in Gaza were targeted in the attack on Friday night.
Mask 'X' comes with new package
After buying Twitter, Elon Musk added many new things to the platform, from changing its name to X to microblogging. Masker X has brought another new package this time.
According to news agency Reuters, a new feature called Premium Plus has been added to the platform to use ad-free X. With this facility, users can use ad-free X by spending $16 per month.
The facility will be launched on Friday (October 27) but initially this facility will be available in web browsing. X has plans to launch this app-based facility later.
Earlier on October 20, Elon Musk said in an X (Tweet) message that two new customer services will be launched soon for X Premium subscription. In one, customers will be given the opportunity to use the X platform with all the features at an affordable price. But it won't be ad-free. The other is going to be ad-free, but it costs more.
After buying Twitter for 44 billion US dollars last year, Elon Musk has transformed the social media. X has even changed its name. However, X's revenue has been steadily declining since he took over.
But Elon Musk is taking various steps to increase the revenue of the company. This includes charging money to bring users to subscription services as well as attracting advertisers.
