1.Activation synthesis theory: 

According to psychiatrists at Harvard University, this theory suggests that dreams occur when stimuli in the brain bring thoughts into our consciousness. 2.Threat Simulation Theory: 

This theory is based on the work of Finnish cognitive neuroscientists and psychologists and shows that dreaming is preparation for real-life situations that may pose a threat.

 

3.The biological response to the living environment:

"A researcher studied why people have dreams with negative content, especially dreams involving attackers or enemies," she said. "This may be an evolutionary and biological response, and it may be based on different life experiences."

 

4.Organization of knowledge and memory:
