Why did World War II happen?

World War II lasted from 1939-1945.

In this war, the world was divided into two parts - The allies and the Axis nations.

During this war, the spirit of 'complete war' came into vogue because all the superpowers involved had put their economic, industrial, and scientific potential in this war.

About 100 million soldiers from different nations took part in this war, proving to be the deadliest war in human history.

World war2

Between 5 and 70 million people were killed in the Great War, as significant events included the massacre of civilians—including the Holocaust—and the sole use of nuclear weapons (which led to the Allied victory at the end of the war).

Although Japan was in a state of war with China since 1937, usually the beginning of the Second World War is known on 01 September 1939

when Germany attacked Poland and after that when France declared war on Germany. It was also approved by England and other Commonwealth countries.

Germany invaded Poland in 1939, intending to create a large empire in Europe. In a series of campaigns and treaties from late 1939 to early 1941,

Germany had either subjugated or conquered large parts of continental Europe.

Under the Nazi-Soviet pact, Soviet Russia annexed six of its neighboring countries, including Poland.

After the defeat of France, the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth countries were at war with the Axis powers, including the Battle of North Africa and the Long Battle of the Atlantic.

In June 1941, the European Axis invaded the Soviet Union, giving rise to the largest field of land warfare in human history.

In December 1941, the Japanese Empire also jumped into the war on the side of the Axis powers.

Actually, Japan aimed to establish its dominance in East Asia and Indochina.

He attacked the European-occupied territories in the Pacific Ocean and Pearl Harbor of the United States of America and soon controlled the Western Pacific.

World war2

The advancing Axis forces were halted in 1942 when Japan first lost a series of naval skirmishes,

the European Axis forces were defeated in North Africa, and the turning point came when they faced defeat at Stalingrad.

In 1943, Germany lost several skirmishes in Eastern Europe, the Allies attacked Italy, and the United States began winning the Pacific Ocean, forcing the Axis to adopt a strategy of strategic retreat on all fronts. Fell.

In 1944, while on the one hand, the Western Allies invaded Germany-occupied France, on the other hand, the Soviet Union attacked Germany and its allies after snatching back its lost land.

In April-May 1945, Soviet and Polish forces occupied Berlin, and World War II in Europe ended on 8 May 1945 when Germany surrendered unconditionally.

During 1944 and 1945, the US defeated the Japanese Navy and took control of many War2islands in the Western Pacific.

When the time came to invade the Japanese archipelago, the US dropped two atomic bombs on Japan.

On 15 August 1945, the Second World War in Asia also ended when the Japanese Empire agreed to surrender.

#After World War II

1. emergence of new superpowers

World War II caused a change in the status of countries and continents. Britain and France lost their positions as superpowers and were now replaced by the United States and the USSR.

 2. start of decolonization

After the war, Britain and France faced various domestic and external problems. Both these countries started losing control over their colonies.

Thus ended colonialism in Africa and Asia after the war.

 3. establishment of the United Nations

The establishment of the United Nations was one of the important outcomes of World War II.

The United Nations Charter enshrines the hopes and ideals of humanity based on which countries can work together to maintain lasting peace.

However, long before World War II, it was agreed to establish the United Nations under the Atlantic Charter.

 4. start of the cold war

After the war, a conference was organized in Potsdam, Germany, to establish a peace treaty. The countries involved in the war with Hitler suffered defeat.

These four parts were controlled by Britain, the United States, France, and the Soviet Union.

The three Western allies and the Soviet Union had disagreements on many things.

As a result, Germany was split into two parts (East Germany, a communist government, and West Germany, a democratic state).

This division laid the foundation for the Cold War.

5. new world economic order

The Bretton Woods Conference is officially known as the United Nations Monetary and Financial Conference.

From July 1 to 22, 1944, representatives of 44 countries attended this conference.

Its immediate purpose was to help countries struggling with World War II and the worldwide crisis.

After World War II, the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD - now known as the World Bank) was established to reconstruct and develop war-affected economies.

The US dollar was established as the reserve currency for world trade.
