The Mahabharata is a major Hindu text that falls in the history category of Smriti. Sometimes it is called simply Bharat. Have you heard about the Indian story? It is said that there was no greater archer than Arjuna. Pandavas could hardly have won this war if Arjuna did not know about bowing. You people would know that Arjun died while going to heaven, but you will be surprised to know that Arjun died even before going to heaven. The Mahabharata describes a story in which Arjuna's son killed his father.
According to the legend, when the Mahabharata war ended, Yudhishthira was made the king of Hastinapur. Then a few days later, at the behest of Lord Shri Krishna, Yudhishthira started the Ashwamedha Yagya and left it under the leadership of Arjuna according to the rules. Arjuna was touring the kingdoms behind the horse with his army. Many kings refused to fight with Arjuna, and whoever fought with Arjuna was defeated by Arjuna; only then the horse of Yagya reaches Manipur, where Arjuna's son Brabhuvahana ruled. When Brabhuvahan got the information of Arjuna's arrival in Manipur, when he reached Bhabhuvahan to welcome his father, When Brabhuvahan got the information of Arjuna's arrival in Manipur, when he reached Brabhuvahan welcome his father, Arjuna said that I am currently leading the Ashwamedha Yagya, so you will have to fight with me. Brabhuvahana accepted the challenge of his father Arjuna, and a fierce battle ensued between them; the war lasted for a long time; after that, Prabhu Vahana fired a divine weapon on Arjuna, due to which Arjuna's head was severed, and Arjuna died.
Why did Brabhuvahana kill his father, Arjuna?
When Brabhuvahan got the information of Arjuna's arrival in Manipur, when he reached Brabhuvahan to welcome his father, Arjuna said that I am currently leading the Ashwamedha Yagya, so you will have to fight with me. Brabhuvahana accepted the challenge of his father Arjuna, and a fierce battle ensued between them together. After that, the war lasted for a long time; after that, Prabhu Vahana fired a divine weapon on Arjuna, due to which Arjuna's head was severed, and Arjuna died.
Why did Ganga laugh at Arjun's death?
The divine weapon with which Brabhuvahana killed Arjuna was given by the divine weapon Mata Ganga to Brabhuahana, due to which Arjuna died, and Mata Ganga's revenge was completed.
On the death of Arjuna, Mata Ganga started laughing because Bhishma, son of Mata Ganga, was killed by Arjuna and Mata Ganga took his revenge.
When Lord Krishna and Mother Kunti came to know about the death of Arjuna, Both of them reached Manipur and were shocked to see this.
Lord Shri Krishna saw that Goddess Ganga is smiling on Arjun's death; after that, Goddess Ganga tells Mother Kunti, that why are you crying? Your son has got the result of his karma just like my son Bhishma's. When the sinner killed me, I was crying like this; today, I have avenged Bhishma. Because the arrow with which the Brabhuvahan has gone to kill Arjuna has been given to him by me, after that, Lord Shri Krishna says that Arjuna had only stopped the attack of the Brabhuvahan, Arjun did not even defeat himself. With that divine arrow, you had raised your honor.
After listening to the reasoning of Lord Shri Krishna, Ganga Mata tells Arjuna the means of giving life; after that, Arjuna is revived by using Naagmani only through vomiting. May Goddess Ganga have peace of mind later.
