Due to the ongoing strain which is evolving around all of us since 2019 that first case take place in Wuhan, China. The virus is named COVID-19.
The first infected patient of coronavirus had been found on December 2019. From that duration COVID-19 has become a pandemic for all over the world. Everyone in this entire world is facing tough situation due to this pandemic. Every day an immense number of people infected and died. A lot of precautions have been done to fight against this virus. Which demands cleaning hands various times, maintaining a social distance, wearing masks, where mask is the most effortless and easiest one. COVID-19 is a disease that spreads from one person to other, which can only be controlled by checking proper use of a face mask. This virus can be decreased by surely keep up the social distance and proper use of a facemask. But somehow many people don’t wear mask. So to ensure that they are wearing face mask, not interacting with each other without a facemask and not gathering in one place that lead to a crowd.
The solution to this problem is to detect people without face mask and informing the authorities to take action against them and to remind them to wear mask for their safety purpose. The face recognition and face mask detection is the only technique that can help us to reduce the COVID-19. It will detect whether the person is wearing mask or not. This technology really help the countries to decrease it.
China was the first who invented this technology and implement it in airports to detect everyone. And this technology really do the work and they get positive response in shape of decreasing covid patients.To reduce the COVID-19., the proposed system can be integrated with any surveillance camera to detect the person without facemask. It is very challenging task because face with mask have different angle of obstacles and different mask types. First it will perform image processing then use the deep learning technology and haar cascade to detect face mask . It will also keep the users updated about the current situation of COVID, nearby heath care centers etc. It can be applied easily in any educational institution, hospital, market, restaurant, and other crowded area where monitoring should be done for the prevention of COVID-19. In public areas it will only notify the admin and not the violator. In the present scenario due to COVID-19, there are no efficient face mask detection applications which are now in high demand for educational institutions, densely populated areas, residential districts, and other enterprises to ensure safety. This system can therefore be used in real-time applications which require face-mask detection for safety purposes due to the outbreak of COVID-19. This project can be applied in educational sectors, airports, offices, and public places to ensure that public safety guidelines are followed. why this started?
