This regime, which lasted from 1912 to 1915, weakened and China disintegrated. Later, in 1949, China came under the control of the Communist Party led by Mao and took on the current identity of the People's Republic of China.
China's one-party state is governed by the Communist Party of China, which elects a president every ten years. He will lead China from the leadership position. This is a decision made entirely by the Chinese Communist Party and has nothing to do with people's participation.Well, then it is natural to ask how China became a socialist democracy. That is why such an explanation has been given. Since the Chinese government considers itself a representative of the people, any decision taken by the government will be taken as a decision taken by the people. So there is no doubt that China is practicing democracy.China does not give its people any so-called democratic rights. The Chinese people do not have the right to choose their leader; Freedom of speech and opinion are not all; Restrictions have been placed on everything from having children. Media has no right to act freely. Everything in China is state media. It is the government that decides what news they broadcast and how.
In China, internet usage is also heavily restricted. Social networking sites like Facebook, Whats App are not allowed there. Only a limited number of foreign films will be released there. Even children's books written by foreign authors are banned in China. The Chinese are in a position where we cannot even imagine many things that we take for granted.
Thus the people of China, with their basic needs met and a secure environment, are not ready to oppose this one-party rule at this time. At the same time, not everyone living in China is in this mindset. Minorities, including Muslims, living in China are protesting against threats to their religion, culture, faith and language by the Chinese government.A British agency that measures the democratic nature of a country has announced that China has scored 3.1 points out of ten in its Democracy Index. That is, this measure suggests that China is running an authoritarian regime. That is the impression that many world countries and political scholars have about China.
However, China's one-party communist regime is only seventy years old, and it should be remembered that China's history has changed over centuries. Change is the only change!
