Recently in Chhattisgarh, a 12-year-old boy made a transaction of Rs 3.22 lakh 278 times in 3 months to upgrade an online game. Earlier this case was believed to be of online fraud but when investigated, it turned out to be a case of online gaming. These days every second child is fond of online games. Children have become more addicted to this addiction in lockdown.

Archana Kapoor, who lives in DLF, Gurugram, says that in the past, her child also made a transaction of 3 thousand by mistake during the online game. A day later he saw the message and called the bank, after which he came to know the truth. He explained this to his son.

Feeling addicted

Children are spending time in online classes as well as online games on phones and laptops. Outdoor activities have also reduced. In such a situation, children are downloading many types of free online games on the phone itself. These are games that the child gets addicted to while playing.

After this, money is demanded in these games in the name of level upgrade. Because of this, many children do money transactions with their cards or UPI without asking their parents. That is why it is necessary to explain and monitor the children.

Parents are controlling like this

In the phone that my daughter has, every single one comes for approval on the parents mobile or email before download, install, payment etc. Also, due to the minor account being created on the device, adult content is also not available. Only YouTube Kids runs in free content for children. Apart from this, there is a screen timer, which gives an alarm to turn off the phone after.

All this is a bit difficult in today's changing times but due to my daughter's understanding and my telling about online fraud, she never played any online game. We can play indoor games like chess to divide the attention of kids.

Children cannot be stopped from playing online games, but what they are playing, how long they are playing, they can definitely be controlled. Children now have more mobile phones. In such a situation, through different apps, I can see what the child is playing.

Children know about parents' debit-credit card information

Turn off international transactions on your phone and set a limit. Most of the cases come to the fore during online games, when the parents themselves have already done online transactions or the children have complete information about the debit-credit card of the parents. So keep these things away from children.

This can be prevented to a great extent with the help of parenteral control software. At the same time, the phone which has apps for other online transactions including Google Pay, Phone Pay. Never allow children to play online games in such a mobile. Those games are definitely free, but downloading free games directly affects the privacy.

Online games are also bad for children's health. In this time, due to the ease of access to online games and the ban on outdoor activities, children have started playing online games more. This has a negative impact on their physical and mental health. That is why it is important to feed children some indoor or outdoor games, so that they remain healthy.

The trend of these games is: Games like Call of Duty, Frontline Commando, Contract Killer, 8 Ball Pool, Candy Crush, Code of War, Real Commando Shooting, Mission Modern Strike, Train Racing Simulator Challenge, Asphalt Racing Game, Real Racing, CSR Racing, Shooting Archery etc. Which are quite a favorite of kids these days.
