It has been a happy week for PUBG Mobile fans following the news that their favorite game is back. Although the game may be called Battlegrounds Mobile India, it is still PUBG Mobile as developed by franchise owners. Obviously, players will have a lot of questions in their minds. We have therefore compiled all available information to answer as many questions as possible.
So, Who Improves India Courts?
Although Tencent was responsible for PUBG Mobile, it seems that Krafton Inc. will be taking the reins from them. One of the reasons why PUBG Mobile was banned in the first place was because of its Chinese links. However, Krafton Inc. is entirely South Korean. This should please the Government of India
What About My Privacy and Security? Will My Data Be Secure?
A few months ago, Krafton announced that it would be working with Microsoft to ensure the protection of Azure personal data. The company noted that Azure provides state-of-the-art security and the most complete set of compliant offerings for any cloud service provider. In his press conference, Krafton also noted that all data collection and storage will be fully compliant with all applicable laws and regulations in India.
What About Gameplay? Will It Always Be the Same?
Well, it is too early to say anything, if you are telling the truth. What we need to work with is one caption that shows the logo. From what we can collect, the game will follow the war royale formula as before. It should also be noted that the characters jump into the desert map, which may be Miramar. This may indicate the possibility that Battlegrounds Mobile India will provide a set of maps similar to the global version of PUBG Mobile.
Will I Be able to Play With Foreign Players?
In short, no. Battlegrounds Mobile India will only operate in India. Thus, it should work in the same way as the Chinese version of PUBG which was re-released as Game For Peace. As a bonus, players will receive more India-specific game events and possibly open India-specific characters.
On the other hand, the game is limited to India. Players will not be able to compete with international players and teams. As a result, Indian teams will not be able to compete in international competitions such as the PUBG Mobile Club Open. To counteract this, it appears that Krafton Inc is planning to build an esports ecosystem in India. To achieve this, it has already invested heavily in the Indian sports company, Godwin Gaming. So, expect a host of Battlegrounds Mobile India home tournaments, but nothing much about exposure to other countries.
OK… Do We Know Where to Play?
No idea yet. Krafton has not yet released any information about the launch of the game. To be honest, even guessing about the presentation is hard. Back in November, Krafton announced PUBG Mobile India with a view to launching it soon. But we all know what came out of that. So for now, you are better off waiting for the official announcement.
You are in luck! Krafton Inc. noted in its press release that the game will have pre-registration time prior to launch, which means you can download the game at the time it is available. However, we still do not know when the pre-registration period will start.
