Many people have reported disturbed sleep patterns and strange dreams during the COVID-19 epidemic. Not surprisingly, in times of stress, turmoil and stress, people struggle to keep their minds down and enjoy relaxation, rewarding, and a good night's sleep.
COVID-19 has disrupted our lives. Everything normal or secure is gone and no one is left untouched by your presence. People have seen family members, friends, neighbors or colleagues feel unwell and may even die. They may be sick for a long time.
Businesses are forced to close, leaving employees and owners likely to have no money, work, or business to which they can return. Schools are open only to the children of important or vulnerable children, which means that most parents have to teach, nurture and treat their children at home while possibly trying to work. Prosperous highways have become ghost towns as we are instructed to stay home and move for important reasons.
While this change in pace has brought an opportunity to rethink our lives and our priorities, existing fears and uncertainties have disrupted many people's sleep patterns.
Dreams allow our unconscious minds to analyze what is happening each day, to review it, and sometimes to review our vision as a result. No doubt you have heard the expression, 'sleep on it and see how you feel in the morning', which is meant to prevent us from making any hasty or hasty decisions. And yes, often after a good night's sleep a new way of thinking or feeling often arises.
But if we are not the only ones affected, when news channels are full of statistics and instructions and we are in undisclosed waters, understandably, these disturbing moments create strange dreams.
Someone shared an interesting dream where people walked in line, so far apart, no one was looking at each other. Although this is very common during COVID-19 it also refers to how far apart we are. People move away from society, keeping themselves separate. Many people look at one another, watch what their customers or neighbors do, and they become suspicious or angry about what others should do, how they should behave, or how they should behave. There is little eye contact in these cases.
Dreams allow our unconscious minds to work on our problems and anxieties to restore something like control over our lives. And so they can include unusual resources, where they fly, jump or jump from one place to another, or perhaps show a monster, a mythical creature, or a celebrity who presents special features and abilities.
Ways to support better sleep when experiencing weird dreams;
In this age of compulsion, we can change our diet, and drinking habits may be very different. When we get up later it is possible to skip breakfast or combine breakfast and lunch, instead of holding a sandwich and eating it on the go. Our coffee practice may be different and alcohol sales may increase dramatically. These sudden changes affect our reproductive system and affect our sleep and dreams.
- Create a new daily routine:
Getting up at the same time, bathing, dressing, perhaps working out, exercising, eating a regular diet all introduce order to your health and help you feel more in control.
- Exercise, especially in the fresh air, is important in relieving stress and supporting better sleep and dreaming. Exercise for mental and physical health allows us to get tired and feel good about going to bed. If you can't walk maybe spend time in your garden or use one of the free online exercise classes that offer something in all skills.
- Be careful about eating, eating lots of fruit and vegetables. Use this time to improve your cooking skills or to start baking from the start, perhaps involving other family members. Avoid the temptation to start drinking too early each day, or to drink a lot of coffee.
- Measure your time watching news or on social media. Nothing important could have happened in the past hour so avoid constantly checking for updates. Allow yourself to be distracted by other, better tasks.
- Count your blessings:
Yes, there is a lot of sadness about it but worrying will not change that. Focus on what you have; get benefits, gratitude, and smiles throughout the day, and notice your stress levels gradually decrease.
- Set working time and production:
Set up a workstation and set certain hours for work or study. Why not commit to learning a new skill, a foreign language, mastering a musical instrument, learning or crafts. Take this moment seriously.
- Stay connected:
A phone call or an online group can be a fun way to share advice or discuss how you feel and how you deal with situations, especially when you are alone. Maybe send a 'thinking card' to one person. And many business owners find that they can communicate with customers and continue trading at a certain level.
- Record your successes and achievements day by day and have treats. Free bathing, study time, or relaxation are important ways to relax, manage stress and invest in a good night's sleep.
