Why Are Vitamins Essential For Maintaining Health

Vitamins are organic compounds that are necessary for both human and animal growth and health. A specific deficiency disease can arise if a vitamin is not consumed or is not absorbed properly.

Worse yet, our entire body may begin to deteriorate, eventually leading to a life-threatening condition like diabetes, cancer, heart disease, and others.

The  Effects Of Vitamins On Human Body

In 1905, while researching the causes of the disease beriberi, the Englishman William Fletcher made the first observation that there is a link between what we eat and particular diseases. He noticed that eating unpolished rice rather than polished rice prevented the disease. He came to the conclusion that the rice husk must contain particular vitamins and other nutrients.

Indeed, even before this disclosure, products of the soil were known to forestall and fix numerous illnesses. Many of the advantages of what we now call "vitamins" were well-known, despite the fact that they were unknown.

Because they stopped getting scurvy when limes were added to their diets, English sailors are still referred to as "Limeys" today.

The Role Of Vitamins In Preventing Some Diseases

Vitamins not only help prevent and treat some diseases, but they are also necessary for almost every bodily function.

  • Vitamin C does not, in fact, fight a cold or prevent it.                                              It boosts and strengthens our immune system, which fights germs that cause the cold

  • The body also uses vitamin C for many other important things.                 An essential component of collagen and, consequently, all connective tissues, is a major function.

  •  Vitamin c is necessary for wound healing and the development of cartilage,         bone, and teeth. It makes the bones, muscles, and blood vessels what they are.
  •  Vitamin C aids in iron absorption, amino acid metabolism, and immune system support.

Although B6—another vitamin—doesn't have the same stellar reputation as        vitamin C, it is just as important for good health. Vitamin B6 can't guarantee emotional and quick "fixes" for sicknesses like scurvy, beriberi, or colds like different nutrients, yet it is known as the expert nutrient in handling amino acids.

The Deficiency Of Vitamins And Its Results

Vitamin B6 deficiency affects 50 percent of Americans, according to estimates.      The same holds true for most vitamins. The body gets sick if it doesn't get enough vitamins.

Scurvy and beriberi are two diseases that manifest rapidly and dramatically.           Cancer  and  heart disease, for example, take years to develop. Until it may be too late, they remain undetected for many years.

Vitamins, like all other nutrients, must come from food because the body is a "closed system." The fruits and vegetables we consume are the primary sources of vitamins.

          Researches About Vitamins

In a 1936 report, the US Government made it abundantly clear that the soils used to grow our food are so depleted in minerals that: We realize that nutrients are perplexing synthetic substances which are key to sustenance and that every one of them is of significance for the typical capability of some extraordinary construction in the body. Confusion and infection result from any lack of nutrients. It isn't ordinarily understood, in any case, that nutrients control the body's allocation of minerals, and without any minerals, they cannot perform. Vitamins are useful when the body lacks minerals, but vitamins are useless when the body lacks minerals.

Since 1970, nothing has changed. They have significantly deteriorated.

This has led to the development of a whole industry. Although 43% of Americans consume vitamins, we continue to suffer from diseases that could have been avoided fifty years ago.

Research researchers have long suggested that dietary enhancements are significant to our well-being and prosperity. When we think about our health over the long term, this is especially true.

In a significant departure from its previous position that vitamins only produce colored urine, the American Medical Association now agrees that all Americans should take nutritional supplements.

Vitamins, antioxidants, minerals, enzymes, amino acids, essential fatty acids, and fiber are all absent from the fruits and vegetables we consume.                Supplements for nutrition that only contain one or  some ingredients can create a false sense of well-being.

The Realistic Approach About Taking Vitamins

It is not realistic to believe that the food we eat only contains one essential component. Simply because the source of the components is lacking, when the body lacks a single component, it probably lacks many, if not most. Adding just a single part to the eating routine not just overlooks the way that the essential eating routine is lacking but, gives a misguided feeling of safety that we are revising a medical condition.
