Jesus' physical suffering was intense. The skin of his body was torn open by the blow of the whip and deep wounds were created on his back. Many people would die as a result of such whipping. Then Jesus took a crown of thorns and put it on his head. A sharp thorn stuck in his head, and a stream of blood ran down his face.
Jesus also hit Mandalay in the face, spat on him, and pulled out his beard. They then forced him to carry his cross on the road to Jerusalem, to the slaughterhouse called Calvary. Eventually, large nails were driven into the soles of his feet and palms, where the palms and wrists joined. Thus, Jesus Christ was nailed to the cross. The Bible says that his form [of appearances] was deformed [more distorted] than the human offspring, [as distorted beyond human choice] as many would be perplexed about him "'(Isaiah 52:14).
What happened to Jesus was terrible. There was a crack in his skull. Blood was pouring down his face and neck. His eyes swelled and almost closed. Probably his nose was broken. His two lips were torn and he was bleeding. It was very difficult to recognize him.
While bleeding, Jesus was crucified. While Jesus was hanging on the cross, he gave seven short words.
The last seven words of Jesus on the cross:
1. First word - forgiveness
'"Later, they went to a place called Skull, where they crucified him and the two evildoers, one on his right and the other on his left. Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; For they do not know what they are doing! ""(Luke 23: 33-34).
2. The second word - salvation
Jesus was crucified by two robbers on either side.
'"'And one of the two evildoers [the criminal] who was crucified began to condemn him and say, 'You are the Christ, save us and us.' But the other answered and rebuked him, saying, Fear not God: for thou hast received the same condemnation. And we are receiving just punishment; Because I am getting the proper result of what I have done: but he has done nothing wrong. Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom." And he said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise""(Luke 23: 39-43).
3. The third message - emotion
And there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Cooper [wife] Mary, and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus saw the mother, and the disciple whom he loved, standing by, he said to the mother, O woman, look at your son! Then he said to the disciple, Look, your mother! Then the disciple took him to his own house "(John 19: 25-26).
4. The fourth message - excruciating pain
"From six o'clock to nine o'clock in the afternoon, the whole country was in darkness. And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabbath? That is, God is mine, God is mine, why have you forsaken me ""(Matthew 26: 45-47).
5. The fifth message - suffering
'"After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the word of the scripture might be fulfilled, said, "I am thirsty. And there was a vessel full of vinegar: and they took a sponge full of vinegar, and put it into his mouth, and took it to his mouth '”(John 19: 26-29).
6. The Sixth Word - Atonement
“After receiving the vinegar, Jesus said, It is finished” (John 19:30).
7. Seventh word - responsibility or surrender to God
"And Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said this, he gave up the ghost" (Luke 23:46).
In his most recent statement before his death, Jesus showed his complete surrender to God the Father. Most Christians worship Jesus as the incarnation of the Son of God, the second of the three persons in the trinity. Jesus' followers believed that he was resurrected after death and that the society they formed later became the Christian Church
