Why a spoonful Of Sugar A Day Can It Keep The Doctor Away

The word ‘sugar’ may be a four-letter word in the way that science and fiction have infiltrated the demon over the years. The nemesis of dieters everywhere, sugar has become a scapegoat and a number of other diseases and conditions. People have been told by nutritionists that carbohydrates are bad, sugar is bad, and now there seems to be a Food version of everything on the market. But is sugar really as bad as everyone thinks it is?

The science field called glycoscience and / or glycobiology does not agree with many popular theories about sugar, not just about weight loss. There is a growing number of studies suggesting that certain types of sugar can be of great benefit to our health, including strengthening the immune system, preventing the growth of cancerous growths.

The word "Glyco" is derived from the Greek word "sweet" and refers to monosaccharides or sugars. For decades, scientists have known about the interaction between sugars, carbohydrates, and the effects of energy. It is no secret that carbs and sugars are our main source of fuel, and they help us to carry out our daily activities, as well as provide the oomph we need to beat ol 'stairclimber. But especially since the famous Atkins diet which contains carbs and sugars, many people have been missing out on the benefits of sweet treats.

Glycoscience accumulates ample evidence that the role of carbs is important in maintaining a healthy body function. Most people are familiar with the term ‘glucose’ but there are more than 200 monosaccharides found in plants and, of those, less than ten are used by the body to maintain a healthy balance. Other sugars are: mannose, galactose, xylose, fucose, N-acetylglucosamine, N-acetylgalactosamine, and sialic acid (N-acetylneuraminic acid or NANA).

Recent scientific evidence shows that sugar and carbs help us at the cellular level. They allow our cells to better interact with one another, thus enabling all the basic functions of the body to function properly and to function effectively. This cellular response from carbs flies in the face of a low-carb diet fad eventually begins to decline. What used to be a low-carb or low-carb concept really should be a “right-carb” concept. With good carbs and sugar, the human body becomes a well-formed machine that can live longer, and more importantly live better than ever.

Humans, from a biological point of view, have not really changed for millenniums. We are still the same creatures that survived the plants especially for a thousand years. Yet the food we eat today is very different from what we ate thousands of years ago or even 50 years ago. Genetic engineering, growth hormones, and antibodies are now an integral part of everything we eat. Especially with fast food, and the vast majority of people eat junk food. Empty calories are found in the diet of millions of people every single day.

Now while many people may agree with that statement, most of them do not wholeheartedly agree that sugar and carbs are the answer to the many health questions that plague our modern society. It amazes everyone… sugar can be the way you should go. Again, it should be the right sugar; monosaccharides are found in plants, not the table sugar you find at your local grocery store.

So the question remains, where do we get this beneficial sugar? It's easy. The company is called Mannatech. For sale publicly on the NASDAQ, Mannatech's main product is Ambrotos
