Why 5 Ways To Get The Best Use Out Of Your Home Treadmill

The # 1 fear people have when they invest in a home press (any piece of exercise equipment) that they will not use.

You know the story. It is delivered, you set it up and enjoy it for a few days… then stay… and wait.

Within a few months down the road, you realize how dusty it is and how much space it takes. And you remember how much weight you were willing to lose by using it faithfully every day. But now, unfortunately, it has doubled as a clothing rack.

Do not be afraid. This article will help you to make sure that this does NOT happen.

The treadmill provides excellent cardiovascular exercise and is still the first exercise machine for those who want to lose weight. So it is an investment in your life that will pay off huge profits ... if you are ready to make a big profit out of it!

Here are 5 easy ways to get the most out of your home treadmill:

# 1) Do your research first

Make sure you look at what each treadmill offers you and compare it to your different needs.

For example, if you live in a condo and/or like clean and tidy items, a folding treadmill may be just right for you. If you are looking for a treadmill rolling, do you prefer a treadmill roll (like most folding treadmills) or do you want a rolling treadmill with wheels that are easy to move?

If you like to drink water while exercising, make sure there is a water bottle holder fitted to the treadmill console (it may surprise you how many treadmills do not have this feature.)

Are you easily bored and need a challenge? What about getting a treadmill with multiple user programs or one that is compatible with iFit?

These items may seem small and maybe less expensive, but if it means you will really enjoy your workout it will be worth it!

# 2) Put the treadmill in a 'fun' place.

By 'happy' I mean well-lit, open, and moving. Do not place to face an empty wall when walking or running. I have tried this and the exercise does not last long! If you are easily bored, put it on the TV or in the window where you can have a spectacular view while working.

Rooms and spaces have a specific ‘feeling’ and that will affect the success of your operation. Make sure your treadmill is placed in an area that makes you feel energized, happy, and mentally refreshed.

# 3) Prepare your arsenal before the treadmill arrives.

Do you like listening to fast music when you exercise? Do you like watching your favorite movies? What about reading magazines? What motivates you to work and feel better?

Prepare these items even before your treadmill arrives and you will be a third of the way there. Have plenty of exercise CDs or hobbies. Find your favorite movies or programs on tape. Collect your favorite magazines.

By having an 'exercise' stash next to your treadmill, you will be motivated to exercise AND you will not be caught running looking for something you can do if you want to start exercising.

Again, this may seem simple, but it works. Why do you think gyms have magazines, televisions, and CD players?

# 4) Make an exercise plan.

Before you start working out, try making a plan, “the road to your strong body” to talk. By writing down how much time you will do and what type of exercise in week 1, 2, 3, 4, etc., you will find the mind to be successful.

Remember that every time you exercise, you are planting the seeds of the dream body you want.

With a plan, you can see how many seeds you have planted (even how long it will take you to start reaping the results!) Have fun with it and you will be motivated to achieve your health goals (and get the most out of your treadmill!)

# 5) Keep track of your progress

Okay, this is related to # 4 but it is ongoing. By tracking your daily progress, you gain a greater sense of accomplishment in achieving extremely fat-burning results.

I suggest you have 'small goals such as "I'll go for at least 10 minutes." or "I will do 5-30 second intervals." These are easy to do and you will probably go beyond that - which will encourage you even more and increase your sense of accomplishment.

And of course, you get the most out of your treadmill!

Those are 5 ways to make the most of your home printing press. Just remember that even a little preparation will pay off in the long run.
