Ukraine granted EU candidacy status – as it rounds of artillery  as well as patrol boats, Pentagon officials announced on Thursday. With the latest shipments, the US contribution to Ukraine’s military will amount so far to $6.1 billion, White House spokesman, John Kirby, added.
