On 8, February 2022, Queen Elizabeth II celebrated the 70th anniversary of her accession to the British throne. The 60-year rule is unprecedented in Britain's constitutional history. In the middle of the reign of King George III, several conflicts broke out against Napoleonic France. However, by 1811, he was unable to govern due to mental illness. His son Prince Regent (later King George IV) emerged as the de facto ruler.
King Henry III: 57 years 29 days (1217-1272)

Ascending the throne at a young age makes it very easy to rule for a long time. King Henry III was crowned when he was only 9 years old. Looking back at the time of his reign, it still seems incredible and fascinating. He was the king of the Middle Ages. But in the thirteenth century, the average life expectancy in England was only 43 years.

He did not get all the power till 1227. However, avoid internal conflicts. When the Civil War, known as the First Baron War, broke out, Henry was still a child. But the war lasted through the middle of the century. He was captured in the Second Baron War in 1263. The son and successor, Edward I, set him free.

Johann II, Prince of Liechtenstein: 60 years and 91 days (1858 to 1929)

He was also a supporter of restoration of destroyed forts and scientific and cultural initiatives. Johann Lichtenstein laid the foundation of the first constitution for nation building. He also gave the opportunity to ordinary citizens to vote.
