Who plays the 100th Test!?

On the achievement 100th Test:

I really never believed that I will play 100 Test matches. It's been a long excursion. Played a ton of cricket throughout these 100 Test matches, parcel of global cricket. I'm simply appreciative that I have had the option to come to 100. With how much cricket we play nowadays, God's been benevolent. I have really buckled down on my wellness. It's a defining moment for me, my family and my mentor, who is cheerful and pleased with this Test as long as I am concerned.

On a thump that changed things for him:

I think my first Test 100 is something I recall affectionately. It's still exceptionally new in my memory. That is one day that will be extremely, unique all of the time. Realizing that it came in Australia will be exceptionally extraordinary. It was an abroad hundred, for a youthful person needing to set up a good foundation for himself in Test cricket, for the initial hundred to come in Australia truly helped my certainty. Assuming you see, my vocation truly took off from that point after that Test match and my certainty developed jump and limits.

As India's Test captain:

I've had the privilege and the opportunity to create a culture which I think I have set as a leader in the last few years. I have done my job to the best of my abilities and have fulfilled my responsibilities. I look back very proudly on that period. I have played with some amazing team-mates, some of the guys who have shared this journey with me for most number of Test matches.

I clearly remember when I took over Test captaincy, I had this vision for the team that we needed to play certain kind of cricket and we need to be a certain kind of team in international cricket and we ended up achieving that five years in a row. So immensely proud. Just the atmosphere was something magical to be a part of; you entered the dressing room and you felt that you could win anywhere and that feeling was so empowering.

You went to every tour without any baggage, without any nervousness, without any hesitation. It was just opportunity after opportunity and something that when I sat in the dressing room and I looked around I felt like I was able to fulfill my responsibility.

Moment he cherishes in cricket:

From 2015 to 2020, those five-six years, the sort of Test cricket we played, every last one of those visits or games is an extraordinary memory in itself. We have had a few intense misfortunes; we have made them astound rebounds. Massively pleased with the entire stage. Glancing back at how astounding and supernatural the excursion was, I can't stick point one memory. It would be off-base for me to bring up winning (a series) in Australia or emerging from England 2-1, conceivably getting the prize back with us. We comprehend those minutes consistently we experience which is undeniably more exceptional than these things.

Playing 100 Tests for India:

It feels strange. I never envisioned I would play 100 Tests for India. There was a period where I recollect that I had let myself know I will do anything conceivable to play for India. Nothing could de-persuade or occupy me any longer. I was totally centered around getting to the top and playing for an extensive stretch. Things unfurled such that the excursion continued to go.
