The principal guest for India's 75th Republic Day, French President Emmanuel Macron, is scheduled to arrive in Jaipur on Thursday. January 25. Today, Macron will begin his two-day visit to India by enjoying the splendour of the pink city of Rajasthan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will accompany Macron on a roadshow and tour of a few historical monuments.
The French President will be the main guest at the Republic Day celebrations on January 26 at Delhi's Kartavya Path. This would make him the sixth French leader to attend the esteemed yearly event.
Notably, Macron showed the strength of the two countries' bilateral relations by accepting the invitation to the Republic Day celebrations at the last minute.
As Jaipur gets ready to greet French President Emmanuel Macron and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, preparations are under way.The Republic Day Parade in Delhi will include French President Emmanuel Macron as the Chief Guest.
Emmanuel Macron's trip to India:
Per the Ministry of External Affairs, President Macron's plane is expected to arrive at Jaipur airport on Thursday at 2:30 pm, and he will take off for Delhi at approximately 8:50 pm. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra will greet him at the airport.
He is scheduled to see Amer Fort, Jantar Mantar, and Hawa Mahal after arriving. He is also rumoured to be going to a cultural event that is happening in Amer Fort. He will be accompanied by S Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs.
The state will greet Macron with vibrant traditional dance and song. There will also be decorated camels and elephants, showcasing Rajasthan's traditional and cultural beauty.
