M.  R.  Radha (April 14, 1907 – September 17, 1979) was a leading comedy and villain actor and popular stage actor of Tamil cinema.

 MR Radha was born on 14 April 1907 in Chennai.  MR Radha stands for Madras Rajagopalan Radhakrishnan.  He was born as the 2nd son of Rajagopalan Naidu-Rajammal couple.  Eva's father, Rajagopalan, was serving as a soldier in Russia and died a heroic death in the battle at Bassovia on the Russian border.  Radha had an elder brother named JR Naidu and Janakiraman and a younger brother named Papa.

Radha lost her father at a young age and wandered irresponsibly without going to school.  Later, angry with his mother, he ran away from home and worked as a porter at Chennai Central Railway Station.  Then Ranganathan, the owner of Alandur Boys Drama Company saw the beauty of Radha carrying three heavy suitcases at the Central Railway Station and asked Radha to join his drama company and she joined the drama company.  Later he worked in many companies including Madurai Original Boys Company.

Wife 

 Radha had wives Saraswathi, Thanalekshmi, Premavathi, Jayamal, Baby Ammal and then went to Sri Lanka and married Geetha, the actress Radhika was born to them.

 Among them, Premavathi, who acted in a play with Radha, had similar politics and views.  Both fell in love and got married.  Within a few years he died of measles.  His son Tamilarasan also died of the same disease.  About their deaths, Annadurai's Dravida Nadu magazine wrote under the heading "We regret" "We are deeply saddened to hear the news of the disappearance of actress comrade M.R. Radha's wife Prema Ammaiyar and son. We offer our condolences to the comrade who is suffering from separation pain."  The clip was featured.

Movie

During the period when Radha was flying the flag in the theater industry, Saminathan produced and released Rajasekaran Emantha Sonagiri in 1937 with Radha.  After that till 1942 Chandanadevan, Bombay Mail, Satyavani, Chokamelar.  He acted in the films.

 Both Chandanadevan and Bombay Mail were produced in the Salem Morton Theatre. When Radha was acting in the film, she kidnapped B.S. Gnanam, who played a supporting role in the film, and wanted to get married for love.  R.  Sundaram kicked M.R. Radha out of there.  Radha then dived into cinema and returned to theater.

Then twelve years later, in 1954, he returned to the film industry with the hit drama Rattakanneer  written by Thiruvarur K. Thangarasu, with the film Rattakanneer.  Radha, who entered the film industry as a lead actor, then mostly played villain and comedy roles.  Although he acted in 125 films, Radha loved to direct plays and act.  The most famous of Radha's plays is the play Lost Love.  Radha's performance as Jagadish in it was praised by many.

He was seen acting in many character roles as an actor, comedian and villain, and because of his skillful performance of the ideas of Dravidian principles, he spoke those ideas in dialogues in films and showed them in the society through sharp acting.  R.  Radha gave him the title Nadigavel because of his acting (nadippu) and his sharp (vel) comments.

 He stopped acting in films after the MGR shooting case.

Political life

 Although initially clashing with EV Ramasamy on professional grounds,he was later greatly influenced by his policies and became a leading supporter of the Dravidar Kazhagam. A personal friend of Kamaraj's, he "collected votes" for Kamaraj in the election when EV Ramasamy supported the Congress. Despite his political leanings, M.  G.  He had a disagreement with Ar.

 He propagated his reformist ideas, anti-Brahmin ideas and Dravidian movement ideas in his plays and films.  However, even his detractors enjoyed his performance.
