Mithali Dorai Raj (born 3 December 1982) is an Indian cricketer and the Test and ODI captain of India women's national cricket team.She is a right-handed upper Middle-order batter and occasional right-arm leg break bowler. Raj is the highest run-scorer in women’s international cricket.

She is the highest run-scorer in women's international cricket and the only female cricketer to surpass the 7,000 run mark in Women's One Day International matches.she is the first player to score seven consecutive 50s in ODIs. Raj also holds the record for most half-centuries in WODIs.ln June 2018 during the 2018 Women's Twenty20 Asia Cup, she became the first player from India (either male or female) to score 2000 runs in T20Is, and also became the first woman cricketer to reach 2000 WT20I runs

Mithali Raj was successful in making a place in the Indian team for the World Cup for the first time 22 years ago.  Now ready to lead the team, Mithali said that she has achieved almost everything in her long career but her dream of getting the coveted trophy remains unfulfilled.  In this way, he has also given signs of retirement.  The 39-year-old Mithali was part of the Indian team in the 2000 World Cup played in New Zealand itself.  After more than 2 decades, she is captaining her team in this country (Women's World Cup 2022).  Meanwhile, there was a time in 2017 when his team lost to England in the final.  Apart from this, she was also a part of the team that finished second in 2005.

 Consistently scoring more than 250

 

 India had lost 1-4 to New Zealand in the last ODI series, but Mithali said that her team is ready to give their best in the World Cup to be held from March 4 to April 3.  He said, 'The areas we wanted to improve before the World Cup, we focused on them in the last series and the matches before that.  The team is now consistently scoring more than 250 and we will try to maintain it in the World Cup as well.

 A total of 8 teams are participating in the tournament.  India has to play the first match against Pakistan (India vs Pakistan).  This is the 12th season of the tournament.  Australia has won the title the maximum number of times.  Apart from this, England has won the title 4 times while New Zealand's team has been successful in winning the title once.  The England team is also the defending champion of the tournament.  It is known that Mithali has already retired from T20.
