Who is Imran Khan?

The 22nd Prime Minister of Pakistan is Imran Khan, a former professional cricketer. He was chancellor of the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom between 2005 and 2014 in addition to leading the Pakistani national cricket team during that time. Khan established and continues to lead Pakistan (PTI) in 1996. He started a fundraising effort in honor of his mother to build a cancer hospital in Lahore, and it was successful in garnering $25 million.

 His father's family is Pashtun and comes from the Nazi tribe; they were born in Lahore. Khan lived an upper-middle-class upbringing with his four sisters. During his time at the Royal Grammar School Worcester in England, where he received his education, he was a cricket phenom. In order to study philosophy, politics, and economics, he enrolled in Kibble College in Oxford in 1972. He received his degree there in 1975.

 Cricketing years

 At Edge Batson, In 1971, Khan played his first Test match against England. He secured a permanent spot on the national team in 1976 after returning to Pakistan. One of the innovators of the reverse swing bowling technique in the late 1970s was Khan. As a Test batsman, batting at position 6 in the batting order, he also has the second-highest career batting average of 61.86.

 Before his retirement in 1982, Khan became the leader of the Pakistan cricket team.

 At the conclusion of his career, Khan had played 88 Test matches, 126 innings, and had amassed 3807 runs at an average of 37.69, with six centuries and 18 fifties. His final Test match for Pakistan was played in January 1992 against Sri Lanka at Faisalabad.

 Coming to politics

  On April 25, 1996, Khan established Pakistan (PTI). In the 1997 Pakistani general election, PTI candidates Khan ran in Mia wale and Lahore for seats in the National Assembly of Pakistan. However, PTI candidates Khan lost both seats to Pakistan Muslim League candidates.

 At the general election held in Pakistan in October 2002, he ran again and was ready to form a coalition if his party did not win a majority of the vote. From Mia wale, he won the election.

 

The government's policies were criticized by Khan in his address to more than 100,000 supporters on October 30, 2011, in Lahore. In Karachi in 2011, a second hugely successful public gathering of supporters took place. He then turned into a significant danger to Pakistan's ruling parties. Khan and Sharif got involved in a savage battle between 2011 and 2013.

 Becoming Prime Minister,

 Khan ran for office in the 2018 General Elections from Bannon, Islamabad, Mia wale, Lahore, and Karachi East. On July 28, the Pakistani Election Commission said that the PTI has taken 116 out of the 270 seats up for election.

 He outlined the general direction of his future government in his victory address. Khan claimed that Medina, the first Islamic state, served as his model for creating Pakistan as a humanitarian state. On foreign policy, he commended China and expressed the desire for improved ties with Afghanistan, the US, and India.

 Khan stated on February 22, 2022, that he would like to debate his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi on television in order to settle problems between the two neighboring nations.

 

 On the day of his first two-day visit to Moscow—the first by a Pakistani premier in more than two decades—during which he would meet with President Vladimir Putin and discuss important regional and global concerns, he made the comments in an interview with Russia's state-run television network RT.
