Dr Farooq Abdullah is a well-known politician from the Indian state of Jam mu and Kashmir. In spite of the dismissal of the government, Farooq Abdullah remained an influential figure in the state's politics, and his Son Omar Abdullah became the Chief Minister of Jam mu and Kashmir in 2009. During his tenure, he focused on improving the state's infrastructure and tourism, and also strengthen the economy.
Dr Farooq Abdullah has also served as a member of the Indian Parliament from Srinagar constituency since 2009. He has also been a member of several important parliamentary committees, including the Committee on External Affairs and the Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Throughout his political career, Dr Farooq Abdullah has been an advocate for the rights of the people of Jam mu and Kashmir and has worked to bring about peace and stability in the region.
