Abu Musa Jabil Bin Hayan
Abu Musa Jābir ibn Hayyān was an 8th-century Muslim alchemist, scientist, astronomer, and philosopher. He was one of the first scientists to study materials using the scientific method. His followers and some scholars call him the father of (early) chemistry. Jabir ibn Hayyan wrote about 22 books on chemistry during his lifetime. These works describe the scientific methods of sublimation, evaporation, crystallization and distillation. In addition, Jābir ibn Hayyān designed a tool to examine and purify acids.
