Who find Panasonic Toughbook S1 Android tablet launched in India at Rs 98,000: Key details here

The Japanese tech giant Panasonic has officially launched the Panasonic Toughbook S1 Rugged tablet in India. This new tablet comes with a Snapdragon 660 SoC and an extendable battery pack as well.

The rugged tablet from Panasonic sport a 7-inch IPS LCD panel that delivers a WXGA resolution. Aside from that, the compact Panasonic Toughbook S1 tablet has NFC, as well as a barcode reader. According to Panasonic, the new tablet works efficiently even in extreme conditions and delivers better productivity. To recall, the rugged tablet went official in the US back in May.

The tablet will be available through Pansonic distributors and system integrators, at a starting price of Rs 98,000. According to Panasonic, the tablet comes with two options of battery size, the device can operate for up to 14 hours on a single charge.

The tablet is drop resistant (minimum 1.5 M) can operate in the varied temperature range from -20 °C to 50 °C. It comes with a 7-inch “outdoor-viewable” display. Toughbook S1 is capable of operating in the rain and can be used with gloved hands or an optional passive pen as well ensuring better functionality.

It comes with a 13MP camera at the rear and a 5MP camera at the front. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of eMMC 5.1 onboard storage. It has Adreno 512 GPU.

Connectivity wise the Toughbook S1 has features such as 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, NFC, USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and one port replicator. The Toughbook S1 also has the ability to equip a barcode scanner or an additional USB port.

Vijay Wadhawan, Director, System Solutions Division, Panasonic India said, ”We witnessed a 10 percent growth in Toughbook business over last year with demand coming primarily from pharmaceutical, automotive, defence and government vertical and expect to maintain good growth momentum in the upcoming year.”

The Toughbook FZ-S1 is uniquely designed to improve efficiency, better functionality, mobility, ruggedness, essential usability, and flexibility.

After many weeks of leaks and speculation, iQOO has finally launched the iQOO Neo 5 and the Neo 5 SE. The iQOO Neo 5S comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. The Vivo sub-new brand’s phones also feature fast charging and come in three colour options. The iQoo Neo 5S will be available for purchase this week only, while the iQoo Neo 5 SE will be available next week.

The iQOO Neo 5S is available in three different colours. The cheapest model costs CNY 2699 and has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage (approx. Rs. 32,100). The iQOO phone comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage, and costs CNY 2899. (approx. Rs. 34,500), the most expensive model, with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage, costs CNY 3199. (approx. Rs. 38,000).

The iQOO Neo 5S will come with a display featuring a 6.56-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Affirming the previous rumours, iQOO Neo 5S also features a ‘display chip’, which is expected to reduce rendering load on the GPU. The device operates on Android 12 based OriginOS.

The iQOO Neo 5S comes with a triple rear camera setup that consists of a 48MP Sony IMX598 primary sensor with an OIS lens paired up with a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro lens. The front of the device has a 16MP selfie camera. iQOO Neo 5S has a battery backup of 4500 mAH and supports 66W fast charge technology.

The iQOO Neo 5S is available in Orange, Blue, or Black colour options.

The iQOO Neo 5 SE is like a cheaper version of the iQOO 5 that launched earlier this year in March. So, the iQOO 5 now sits between the Neo 5 SE & the Neo 5S in terms of pricing & features.

The iQOO Neo 5 SE has a 6.67-inch 144Hz LCD with a Full-HD+ resolution with 144Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. It is powered by the Snapdragon 870. It employs an LCD display instead of OLED to bring down the price.

It draws powers from a 4,500 mAh battery with 55 W fast-charging support. It runs on the Android 11 based version of OriginOS Ocean. In terms of optics, there is a 50 megapixel primary camera, an 8 megapixel ultrawide sensor, and a 2 megapixel macro shooter. The phone has a 16 megapixel front selfie camera.

The iQOO Neo 5 SE is available in Blue, White, and multicolour options.

iQOO Neo 5S will be available for sale from December 24 in China, whereas the Neo 5 SE model will be available from December 28. As of now, both devices are available on pre-order.
