Last month, my wife, marina pastel, took me to Las Vegas because she had to go to a business convention. Needless to say, she writes for a guide to casinos and I hate gambling. But then again, she likes it and, it supports us too, so I went with no trouble. At first, I was sad, but then when I asked around and looked around, I ended up having more fun in Las Vegas than I could have imagined. No more. I had never entered a single casino while I was there.
Entertainment:
One of the greatest things about Las Vegas, Reno and Atlantic City (but especially Las Vegas) is the number of shows available. You might get to see top class comedians like Jay Leno, Jerry Seinfeld, Ray Romano, Tim Allen and even Bill Cosby and Chris Rock. If you're into music you can find female singers like Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Beyoncé, male artists like Phil Collins, Eric Clapton, Snoopy Dog, and bands like Oasis and Ban Jo vi. I could go on and on, but the list is endless. If you are into magic, you can see magicians like David Copperfield doing their work within a few meters of you. Whatever you love, you can find it here, from western to oldies, from jazz, rock, heavy metal to trance. All you have to do is check out the itinerary offered during your trip.
Eat:
From Chinese to Japanese to Korean to Jewish and even vegetarian and proper meat eating establishments await your every delight in Vegas. Do not choose cheap and oily fried dishes served for free while playing. Stay for a while and enjoy the delightful views and smells of East Asian or European cuisine. The amazing thing is that you get to see the human ability to blend in. A real melting*** if I may say so myself.
But is it the same about casino cities like Las Vegas? Do you have to live in the city to really and truly enjoy your stay?
No.
Here are some of the better attractions that you must visit on your trip to Vegas:
Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon:
Book a seat for yourself on one of the many sightseeing tours available and explore and explore the architectural marvel of Hoover Dam atop the Grand Canyon, which is a gorgeous sight in itself. Black Canyon is another must visit as Lake Mead, which is beautiful simply because it is a body of water that is surrounded by desert-like nature on all sides.
Colorado River:
Looking at the dam and canyon from above, you have to go down to see the true beauty of the river. The Colorado River is excellent for river-rafting and water sports, but you don't have to participate if that's not your thing. Instead, just sit back and enjoy the other wonders of nature.
Bonnie Springs:
Who can't resist visiting one of the old towns, like the western Gun Sling movies? Your destination should be Old Nevada. There you can enjoy an old western town's cape right in the middle of Red Rock Canyon. They also host western shootouts, so get ready, mate!
I could go on and on about other attractions like the theme park at Circus, Gil crease Nature Sanctuary, Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve and Mount Charleston, but I think you get the picture. Hate more gambling in Las Vegas? Don't be discouraged. Just go out and have some neat gaming fun
