Who 54-year-old death of Lisa Marie Presley, an Elvis Presley descendant

Lisa Marie Presley, a singer and the lone child of the late Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley, passed away on Thursday, her mother reported, just hours after being taken to the hospital for what appeared to be a heart attack.

She was 54 years old.

According to a statement given to CNN by a spokesman, Priscilla Presley and the Presley family were "shocked and grieved" by Lisa Marie's untimely demise. They need privacy during this extremely trying time and are deeply appreciative of everyone's support, love, and prayers.

According to her mother's post on Instagram, Lisa Marie Presley had been taken by ambulance to the hospital earlier in the day.

"Please remember her and our family in your prayers. We appreciate the prayers from all across the world and ask for discretion at this time "then stated in her statement.

Thursday's hospitalization of Lisa Marie Presley was originally announced by TMZ.

Speaking for the LA County Fire Department, Kaitlyn Aldan, told CNN that at 10:37 a.m. local time, emergency personnel were sent to a cardiac arrest call in the 5000 block of Normandy Drive in Agoura Hills, California. Aldan, refused to confirm the patient's name because of privacy restrictions, but she did say that the patient was brought to a nearby hospital at 11:17 a.m.

The LA County Sheriff's Office declined to confirm the patient's identify while telling CNN that they helped fire officials respond to a medical emergency this morning.

The last time Lisa Marie Presley was seen was on Tuesday night at the Golden Globe Awards, where she went with her mother to support the BAZ Lehrmann film "Elvis," which is based on her late father.

Benjamin Keogh, the son of Lisa Marie Presley, committed suicide in 2020 when he was 27 years old. She posted a picture of their identical foot tattoos on Instagram in July of last year to commemorate Keogh's passing on the second anniversary.

Michael Lockwood, Nicolas Cage, Michael Jackson, and Danny Keogh were among Lisa Marie Presley's prior husbands. She was also the mother of actress Riley Keogh, Finley Aaron Love Lockwood, and Harper Vivienne Ann Lockwood, in addition to her deceased son.

Lisa Marie Presley opened up about losing her son in an essay she penned for National Grief Awareness Day in September.

"His passing utterly exploded and ruined the lives of my three girls and I. This is the world we live in. Single. Day, "She composed. "Regardless of what some people or our culture would have us believe, grief is something you will have to live with for the rest of your life. There is no such thing as "moving on" or "getting over it.""

In the essay, Lisa Marie Presley also mentioned that she found solace in the companionship of those who had experienced similar tragedies and that her girls give her the strength to carry on.

She wrote, "I keep going for my girls." "I continue because my son made it quite plain in his last moments that taking care of his younger sisters and watching out for them were his top priorities. Both of them and him were completely beloved by him."
