UP elections: Modi to interact virtually with party workers
Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers in his parliamentary constituency Varanasi on Tuesday for the first time after the announcement of assembly elections.
BJP Kashi region unit president Mahesh Chand Srivastava said that the Prime Minister’s interaction with party workers of Kashi would be held at 11 am on Tuesday through the NaMo app.
Party workers have been asked to share their suggestions, views, inputs and questions for the conversation in the comment section of the app, which can be mentioned by the Prime Minister during the conversation.
Srivastava said this would be the first time the Prime Minister would interact with party workers after the Model Code of Conduct came into force in the state for the assembly elections. This conversation will start from Kashi.
The conversation is going to be done through the Namo app, so in view of Kovid-19, there is no need to gather a large number of workers at any place.
He said that any gathering would be held as per the latest instructions of the Election Commission.
This interaction of the PM with the workers of his parliamentary constituency is going to take place at a time when the announcement of candidates for eight assembly constituencies is awaited.
Srivastava said there is not much excitement about releasing the list of candidates, especially in Varanasi, as the people here have seen development in each assembly constituency and they will keep it in mind while casting their vote.
