WHICH IS BETTER FOR YOU: FREE FIRE OR FREE FIRE MAX?

Free Fire, Garena's Battle-Royale juggernaut, has become one of the most popular mobile esports titles available. Since its debut in 2017, the game has had over 800 million downloads worldwide, and it shows no signs of slowing down. Free Fire Max, a new version of the game with improved visuals and animations, was also published.

Free Fire Max was released in September 2021. The game is also a big hit, especially with those who desire to play with more advanced technical abilities. However, for Free Fire fans as a whole, comparing the two games will always be there. And we're excited to go further into our Free Fire and Free Fire Max comparison.  GET A BETTER GRAPHIC EXPERIENCE WITH FIRE MAX

Free Fire Max was always intended to be the version of Free Fire with higher-quality graphics, and it was always labeled as such. And it lived up to the hype, as it turned out to be more graphically appealing than the original Free Fire game. The Ultra HD textures feature is one of the most notable features in Free Fire Max that indicates a much better graphic experience. Not only did it improve Battle-Royale elements like the player avatar and game environment visuals, but it also improved the weapon representation in Free Fire Max.

Based on my observations, the original Free Fire game prioritized the faster and more exciting gameplay for a Battle-Royale title above the graphic quality. However, both games contain the same gameplay; the old one simply introduced it first. I must mention that the Draw Distance is also superior in Free Fire Max.

BIGGER REQUIRED SPACE

One disadvantage of having a higher-quality experience is that it takes up more phone space. The original Free Fire only takes up about 500-700 MB of storage space. Free Fire Max, on the other hand, requires at least 1.5 GB of free storage and up to 4 GB of free RAM to work smoothly. Even yet, for games with higher-quality visuals, this is natural and expected.

So, if you're looking for a visual treat, Free Fire Max is the way to go.

FREE FIRE COMPETITIVE SIDE AND DOWNSIDE

If you want to play competitively or simply try to climb the ranks, there is a case to be made that Free Fire is superior. While most recent phones can run Free Fire Max just well, it's best to stay with the basic version if you want to use 120hz+ and high FPS counts.

When you go to Max, you'll notice a difference in performance and how the game feels. You'll get significantly lower frame rates, and the increased accuracy of information may make you perform worse in some situations. However, if you're merely playing for pleasure and your phone can take it, you should upgrade to FF Max.   FREE FIRE’S UNPARALLELED SUCCESS

Given Free Fire Max's recent release date of fewer than six months, Free Fire is unquestionably more popular and successful in the esports world. Free Fire's huge success in the mobile game market is already evidenced by its record of 800 million downloads. However, Free Fire's esports scene is rather large, competing with rival Battle Royale games like PUBG and Fortnite — with the game's previous global series boasting a $2 million prize pool.

Free Fire, on the other hand, is currently facing the same fate as PUBG Mobile in India. Both games are now prohibited in the country for reasons of national security. Free Fire Max is still playable there, while Battlegrounds Mobile India is making waves as a burgeoning Battle-Royale game that may be used as a replacement for PUBG.
