New Delhi:The technical education regulator, All India Council for Technical Education (AI CTE) has asked students of Indian nationality and Overseas Citizens of India to obtain a no-objection certificate (NOC) before admission to engineering and technology courses in Pakistan. The students, AI CTE said, should apply for clearance in the format as specified by the council.“An Indian National/ Overseas citizen of India who intends to take admission in Higher education in Engineering and Technology Program in Pakistan shall require to obtain No Objection Certificate from AI CTE. The student should apply for such clearance in prescribed pro forma available on the AI CTE website,” an AI CTE statement said. The validity/ equivalence of such Foreign degrees awarded are at times not at par with the degrees awarded to students passed from Indian Institutions.” “Such students after obtaining degrees from Foreign Universities are facing issues in getting the opportunities in Indian jobs or higher education even after spending huge amount of fee to obtain such non-equivalent technical degree. AI CTE. In order to avoid financial burden on parents of such students, is issuing a warning that students must carefully ensure the validity of the degree,” AI CTE added. 

AI CTE To Stop PG Scholarship Of Students Who Left Courses Midway. 

 The technical education regulator has asked the colleges and universities to provide details of the students who have left the courses midway.

New Delhi: The all India Council for Technical Education (AI CTE) will stop the postgraduate (PG) scholarship of students who leave the courses midway. The technical education regulator has asked the colleges and universities to provide details of the students who have left the courses midway. It has been noticed that some Institutions are not providing timely information of those students who have left out the course midway under the PG scholarship program of AI CTE,” an official statement said.

“Due to non-availability of information in time, the fellowship is releasing uninterrupted, which is not authorized. It is, therefore, requested to furnish in time the exact status of those scholars also marked as "LEFT THE COURSE" in the PG portal,” AI CTE added. In case institutions face any problem in marking the same in the PG Portal, AI CTE has asked them to mail the details on the letterhead of the Institute to [email protected].

GATE, G pat and C EED qualified students admitted to AI CTE approved regular postgraduate programs receives Rs 2,400 per month for 24 months or for the duration of the course as part of the AI CTE PG scholarship.
