The Taj Mahal and the 2.5-kilometer-distance Agra Fort are both recognised as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. on 2007, it was included on the list of the Seven Wonders of the World. It is located in Agra on the Yamuna River's southern bank.
Originally, the structure was white. Pollution is causing it to turn yellow. The atmosphere's sulphur dioxide combines with water molecules to form sulfuric acid, which gradually erodes the building's exterior.

The court created the 10,400 square metre Taj Trapezium Zone, which encircles the Taj Mahal. Companies operating in this zone must convert from coal to natural gas.
The Taj Mahal is progressively becoming yellow due to pollution.
