Which Grill Should You Buy Charcoal Or Gas

If you are considering getting a new grill or grill, you will have many options to choose from. However, there is one choice you will need to make fairly quickly when looking for the perfect grill for you. That decision is whether to get a charcoal grill or a gas grill.

The good news, however, is that both produce foods that have been found to have very little difference in taste. Whether you choose the gas or charcoal version, you can be sure that both will have the ability to produce great flavor.

For many, a barbecue isn't a barbecue unless it involves cooking over hot coals. This can take a long time to reach the optimum cooking temperature and can be difficult to manage, plus ash needs to be removed after cooking. However, the primal instinct of many people (especially men!) makes a charcoal grill appealing because they are required to start and maintain a fire throughout the cooking process. Additionally, many believe that charcoal cooking gives food a distinct flavor and aroma that you can't get from a gas grill. However, as already mentioned, this was not found to be the case.

A gas grill can make life less complicated.  It's more like cooking on a traditional kitchen stove, only outside. A gas grill also removes dirt after you're done cooking because there are no coals to clean.

As you can see, both types of grills have their advantages. However, before you decide, it is important to think about how you will use the grill. A gas grill will be more expensive to purchase, but with regular use it will be more efficient over time. For grilling beginners, a charcoal grill may be the most sensible option. If you find that you use it a lot  it is still expensive to buy new charcoal, you will have the option to upgrade to a gas grill if you wish. If you jump right into a gas grill, you may find that if you rarely use it, it's an unnecessary expense that doesn't need to be spent.

Whichever one you choose, there is little between the two types of grills when it comes to the quality of food prepared on them.
