Which 3 Teams Can Win IPL 2021 ?

Indian premier league is one of the most popular leagues in the world, including any sports. But previous 2 years are very challenging to conduct IPL because of Corona Virus Pandemic in India. In 2020, IPL was shifted to UAE because of Corona Virus, and it was organized 6 months later than its actual time. Somehow IPL 2020 was completed successfully, with Mumbai Indian’s lifted its 5^th IPL trophy, but 2021 IPL is more challenging to conduct. India recently experiencing the second wave of the Corona Virus. Hence, the Indian economy and social life are in great trouble. People cannot go outside their homes without any vital work, and the Government already imposed 15 days lockdown to reduce the number of coronavirus-affected patients. At this time, the remaining IPL conducting in India is almost impossible.

IPL already started in 2021 on April 9 with a nail-beating match between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Almost 50% of matches are completed of the tournament. But the worst situation arrives when 2 players from Kolkata Knight Riders, Varun Chakrabarty and Sandeep Warrior, tested corona Positive. On the next day, Lakshmipathi Balaji, Chennai Super King’s bowling coach, got Corona Positive with 1 player each from Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals. Hence, BCCI announced postponing the remaining IPL for the safety of another player and team management. But according to sources, the remaining IPL can happen in either UAE or England in either the last week of August or after the World T-20 Championship. But England Cricket Board already declared that no player would be available for the remaining IPL because of their bilateral series. But BCCI will try to conduct IPL in a situation and time when most foreign players will be available, and fans will get maximum entertainment.

In the first half of IPL, Delhi Capitals topped the points table with 12 points with 6 wins and 2 losses. CSK and RCB secured the 2^nd and 3^rd positions. Sunrisers Hyderabad didn’t have a good first half. They are placed at the bottom of the table with only 1 win. But now we will discuss 3 teams that can win IPL 2021 and which team has the maximum percentage of chance to win the IPL (Let us assume that England Cricketers are not playing as per their Cricket Board).

Delhi Capitals-

Delhi Capitals now topped the points table with 12 points. This year Delhi’s regular captain Shreyas Iyer is not playing due it his injury. In his absence, Rishabh Pant is doing captaincy for them.

Strong Zone :

DC’s opening pair is a Right-Left combination. Right-handed, Prithvi Shaw is in good touch, and he is a very explosive batsman. At the same time, Sikhar Dhawan is in top form with tons of responsibility.
Middle Order is also stable too. Rishabh Pant, Aussi star Steve Smith, Marcus Stoinis, and Shimron Hetmayer play their role in the middle order.
Spin attack with Ravi Ashwin, Axar Patel, and Amit Mishra is very experienced and very lethal. One can only dream of such a spin bowling attack.
The pace bowling attack led by Kagiso Rabada and Ishant Sharma is too sharp. Newcomer Avesh Khan is the second most wicket-taker in the first half of 2021 IPL. Anrich Nortje is still to play the remaining IPL.

Weak Zone :

Rishabh Pant is not so experienced to lead such a high-profile team. Players like Ajinkya Rahane, Smith, and their coach Ricky Ponting are obviously there to guide him, but sometimes the captain needs to take some decision alone, which may change the whole game within a minute.
The middle-order has big names as Smith, Rishabh Pant, Stoinis, Hetmayer, but except Pant and Hetmayer, no one is in good touch. We can expect Smith to perform well in knock-out matches which he often performs well, but a record of Stoinis in IPL as a batsman is not so good.
They have solid batting lineups, but they look very ordinary while chasing a big total. They often collapse while chasing big totals.
2. Chennai Super Kings :

CSK secured second place in the points table to date. But CSK is still in trouble after England Cricket Board announced the departure of their cricketers from the remaining IPL.

Strong zone :

M.S. Dhoni – the name is enough to describe why they are favorites to win IPL. Captain Dhoni is the only captain in the world who lifted all 3 IPL trophies to date (T-20 world cup, World Cup, Champions Trophy). During his regime, CSK won 3 times IPL trophy.
Strong opening with Faf Duplessis and Rituraj Gaikwad. Rituraj is a young talent, but captain Dhoni showed his trust in Rituraj, and Rituraj, performing really well since last year.
Strong middle order with Suresh Raina, Ambati Raidu, Sir Ravindra Jadeja, and M.S. Dhoni himself- perhaps the world’s most incredible and experienced middle-order ever.
Death over bowling with Dwayne Bravo and Deepak Chahar is very economical.

Weak Zone :

Inexperienced spin attacks are a serious concern with them. Imran Tahir and Piyush Chawla are in their team but very hard to find their places in playing 11.
Inexperienced Seam bowlers are still a problem with them. Deepak Chahar is doing well with the ball for the last few years, but Shardul and Ngidi are very expensive most of the time though they take a wicket regularly.
The departure of Moeen Ali and Sam Curran will hurt them very badly. CSK depends on Moeen as a proper hard-hitting option and part-time bowler, and Sam Curran perhaps their main bowler now.
The recent form of M.S Dhoni can be a big concern for them.
Royal Challengers Bangalore :

Perhaps the unluckiest team in IPL history. They played finals 3 times, but they still didn’t find their success to win a trophy. In my opinion, RCB can win this year for some reason that I’ll discuss below.

Strong Zone :

Virat Kohli is a more mature captain than ever.
Virat and Devdut Padlikal are the very deadliest opening pairs with the right-left combination. Devdutt is one of the most prominent rising stars in Indian cricket.
Middle-order with Glenn Maxwell and A.B. Devilliers can be a nightmare of any bowling unit.
Spin attacks of Yuzi Chahal and Washington Sundar are very economical and wicket-taking.
Young stars like Harshal Patel and Siraj are doing well in death overs.

Weak Zone :

There is still a requirement for a Number 3 batsman. Rajat Patidar got the start but couldn’t convert it into a big inning yet.
Aussi Star Glenn Maxwell, The Big Show of cricket, is often criticized for his highly inconsistent form.
RCB still depends on ABD and Virat Kohli somehow.
Kyle Jamieson was very costly but yet to prove his worth.
Fast bowlers are performing well, but they are still very much inexperienced for this level of cricket.
