Where to visit Ananthagiri waterfalls

 If you are a photography enthusiast, Coffee plantations on the way is something you shouldn't miss. Locals selling sweet corn, coffee beans and spices could be explored.

Ananthgiri has moderate waterfall of about 20- 25ft height. Steps were being constructed when we visited in Jan 2017, by the time you see this review the construction would have been over, happy path! Use your discretion to try the local Bamboo chicken, chicken lollipop here!

By Rail:The hills are approximately 6-7 km away from the railway stations, and it would take you 15-20 minutes to reach there.

By Road: Hyderabad is connected directly to State Highway 4 (SH4) It will take you 2-3 hours approximately to reach there from the city.

By Bus: There are regular buses from Hyderabad to Vikarabadh run by TSRTC, from where you can take an auto or another bus to reach the Hills.                                    Andhra pradesh                        Ananthagiri Waterfalls is located on the Eastern Ghats, about 60 km from the Visakhapatnam. It is 30 km from Araku Valley and 3 km from Ananthagiri Town. The thick rainforests, lush green coffee plantations, rolling hills, deep ravines, and swirling waterfalls will sweep the visitors off their feet.

It is an ideal place for nature lovers and honeymooners to enjoy the spectacular Sunrise and Sunset and get lost in the all-pervading beauty of nature. The waterfall is at a distance of 1 -2 km from the main road connecting the Araku Valley and Ananthagiri Town. Visitors can walk from the main road and reach the Waterfalls in 20 minutes.

Best Time to Visit: The most suitable time to visit Ananthagiri Waterfalls is after the monsoon period. The streams inundated with rainwater flow at full force and present a panoramic vista. Visitors also prefer to visit the place during winter. 

At a distance of 30 km from Araku, 3 km from Anantagiri village, Tadimada waterfalls, also known as Anantagiri Waterfalls is a charming waterfall situated near Anantagiri town in Vizag district of Andhra Pradesh. It one of the best waterfalls in Araku and also one of the top tourist attractions in Araku.

With a height of about 100 feet, Anantagiri falls offer best views in monsoon season. The best way to reach these waterfalls is by walking / trekking from Anantagiri. The falls is about 1-2 km away from the main road between Anantagiri and Araku Valley (after about 1.5 km from Anantagiri). The approach road from main road is very narrow and bumpy. Only SUVs can manage well on this road. It's advisable to walk to these falls from Anantagiri - Araku main road which takes about 20 minutes. The road is almost flat and anyone can manage to walk easily.

The rocks near the falls are very slippery and should be careful while getting on to the rocks. Though swimming is possible, water here is bit dirty.
