Where Taj Mahal Gets Competition As New White Marble Marvel Opens

Every day, thousands of spiritually inclined travelers flock to Agra to see a recently constructed white marble building that took 104 years to complete. The recently constructed mausoleum of the Radhasoami sect's founder in Soami Bagh, which is roughly 12 km from the Taj Mahal, is sometimes compared by tourists to the famous Taj Mahal. Agra's pristine white marble edifice has gained popularity as a tourist destination. The mausoleum's majesty has left many in awe, and many see it as a strong contender for architectural magnificence alongside the Taj Mahal. The city is well known for its Mughal-era structures.The Soami Bagh mausoleum was built over a century in an open society, in contrast to the Taj Mahal, which was finished in 22 years in the 17th century with the labor of thousands of skilled artisans and craftsmen under a medieval authoritarian rule. Pramod Kumar, a devout follower of the religion, stated that the mausoleum's construction was evidence of the designers' undying faith, fervor, and dedication, which were motivated by their religious convictions.One of the most ambitious undertakings in India, the 193-foot-tall monument made entirely of white marble from Makrana in Rajasthan rests on a base of 52 wells. The tomb honors Param Purush Pooran Dhani Swamiji Maharaj, the founder of the Radha Soami faith. The majestic tomb is located in the Dayalbagh neighborhood of Agra, in the Soami Bagh colony. Busloads of visitors arrive at the mausoleum every day to marvel at the amazing craftsmanship on exhibit and to express their enthusiasm. While taking pictures is not allowed, admission is free.There are still a few little additions to be made. Hundreds of artisans working with large, cutting-edge machinery may be seen at the facility. "Now of course we have huge grinders, cutters, finishers, lorries, lifters, and all kinds of machines and computer technology, all of which were employed to advantage here, and the results show," a person associated with the project stated. Visitors have already started drawing comparisons between the Soami Bagh tomb and the Taj Mahal, a global heritage site that welcomes hundreds of tourists every day from all over the world. The mausoleum of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and his spouse Mumtaz Mahal is located within the Taj Mahal.
