There are two important types of travelers in this world. There are those who are consumed by ‘marking boxes’ and visiting all the ‘attractions’ to claim to have been there and doing so.
Then there are those who really travel to gain experience of travel and immerse everything in the way. The real purpose of travel is, not to reach your destination, but to travel. The same is true in the journey of life. A lot of people go through life getting to where they are going and end up never ‘going’.
Wherever your mind is, that's where you are. See, your whole life is actually living within your mind. It is not what happens to you, but how you process it in your mind. Wherever you put your focus is where your attention will be.
We often fall into the trap of thinking ‘someday-somewhere,’ when we think of ‘someday’ when we are somewhere or rich or otherwise we will be happy. ‘Then’ we will do x, y and z. We probably live in the ‘other place’ we dream of and end up forgetting where we are now - which is all we really have. Life is ‘now’. Now that's all you'll ever really have.
While you may be fleeing to a certain future in your mind, a place that you think will make you happy, you only want that feeling to feel that moment. Only then are you fully immersed in the present and the present, where you can feel the full potential. Rooting in the modern era does not rule out ambition and ambition.
In fact, it requires that. Recognizing where you have been and the vision of where you are going will color your current experience. Set your course where you want to go and make sure you are focused on it right now. If you drive your car and focus on something in front of you, you will lose both the hazards and the beauty in front of you.
Keep in mind that the purpose of travel is not to reach your destination, but to travel - it's all about knowledge. The danger of becoming overly concerned about a future goal or accomplishment is hindering us from taking action right now. Postponing a ‘future thing’. When your mind is somewhere in the future, you tend to absorb all the problems that may arise in the future (thought).
Since most of our fears are just imaginary we often start to think about the possible problems and challenges that breed procrastination. Remember that procrastination is designed to ‘protect’ you from unwanted activities and prevent you from taking action on those things that may not be fun. If you focus on the future you will continue to create conditions and conditions that will encourage procrastination.
Once you are focused on the present you will be empowered to take action because what you have to deal with is what lies ahead. There is great power ‘now’. If you focus on where you are instead of where you want to be in an indefinable future, you are connected. Procrastination keeps you from moving and even if you know where you want to go, you will always be stuck in a decision-making process.
You will be overwhelmed by everything you think you have to do to get where you are not. If you focus on this now, all you have to do is do what you can do right now where you are and what you have right now. You do not have to wait for anything to change before you take action. Your focus is on what you can do NOW.
This gives strength. It is true that action will not always bring happiness, but there is no happiness without action. Procrastination steals your future by stealing your present moments. Be in the present moment. It will free you from your fears and problems and will keep you from being overwhelmed by decisions and decisions.
To overcome the setback, look at what's in front of you and start there. Always ask yourself what you can do now - and do it! Never waste your current time on what you could ‘be’ or ‘should have done’ and be captivated by your future. Always remember where your head is, because that is where you are, and where you are is what will determine what you will or will not do.
