Where in the World is Mobile Development?

Which countries have the most Android developments?

We geocode all visitors to our site and monitor the tags for each query, so we can schedule guest sharing from all USA, to queries with the Android tag. Android is determined to be a little "hot" between the United States, Europe, and Russia: it makes up very small (forty-eight percent) of the ideas of stack overload from those international destinations. It makes up the largest share (12-16%) of traffic in Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. What styles might be behind this local distribution?

Android varies in GDP according to capital,

An Open World Bank Data Set provides unparalleled and open access to land development records and information. We combined this with our guest numbers to see if anything went wrong. A variety of brands are associated with Android tours, however, GDP stands out as a strong ally in the development of Android.

Countries with lower GDP per capita go to Android significantly larger than international countries with higher GDP corresponding to population. There are exceptions (Japan and South Korea visit more Android than guesses), but the correlation rate is strong (R2 = 0.53, price value <10-13).

There may be many related reasons for this trend. Maybe it's because Android phones are less expensive, or there are a lot of Android upgrades being offered outside low-cost areas. Our traffic information cannot faithfully answer why.

What about iOS?

Let's take a look at another important mobile platform. Where does the iOS market visit, as a percentage of all united states of American traffic?

Also, it is much cooler in the Americas and Europe, and warmer in Asia, especially China and Japan. Interestingly, we will see almost no site visitors asking iOS questions from Africa. Unlike Android, there is no correlation, good or bad, between iOS visitors and in line with capital, GDP. This shows that the relationship between Android and GDP will not be fully driven by using the platform market percentage for each of us.

What about each?

We can combine site visitor information into one episode by checking Android and iOS traffic across the united states of america and a more interesting image appears.

First, foremost less fun, the thing to note is that Android is more visited than iOS from anywhere. Most exciting is the collection of Android / iOS based traffic estimates. At the bottom left we have a beautiful collection of American (olive) and European (blue) countries with an amazingly low width for each Android and iOS traffic. At the top and left of that we have a collection of African (pink) international destinations, visiting Android almost completely. We can also see a collection of Asian (uninformed) developing countries with very few developments in both iOS and Android.

Conclusion

In all of this post, we have been using the facts of Stack Overflow to discover the world of software development over time and space. This is a complex database with a large size (each 12 months each has its own different generation profile), and it can be difficult to understand where to start. Recognizing this relationship between cell phone technology and GDP gives us one piece of the puzzle. In a future post, we’ll explore more about how rustic revenue relates to the technology you use, as well as how it can provide us with more information in the global software development industry.

Over time, no matter where you are internationally, in case you are a mobile engineer who wants to take the next step in your career, right here are companies that hire mobile engineers now in Stack Overflow Jobs.
