Where in Sikkim do you call me again and again?
If you are a traveler, where do you see when you close your eyes? What is the name of the place where you want to go?
From my heart
I'm not a traveler. Still, the question came to my mind when I saw two pictures - the first picture I saw when I was ten years old. Kanchenjunga is decorated in golden light in the morning light. And I saw the second one last year. The road is covered with white snow all around. Both are pictures of Sikkim.
"Are you saying you won't go to Chhangu Lake? Will I get this opportunity in life? I'll be sorry later"
Clean Sikkim fascinates me
My aunt was sitting in a hotel in Gangtok and saying the words. My mother, sister, aunt, uncle, and brother went to Sikkim last year. As soon as you enter the city, your mind becomes better. Planting small flower tubs in the street, no one is picking flowers, no one is picking drinks. And how many cars are running on the road but there is no sound! The Teesta was our companion along the way. I entered the city and saw that the driver did not park the car where it was. It will be difficult for others, it will take a jam. Think! So much awareness!
Beauty
Then came the news that the Chhangu Lake road, which had been closed for so long, was now open. But the road to Baba Mandir was still closed for snow. We all left Chhangu Lake. Slowly I started to rise, all-around became white. Then there is only one word in our mouth - "Life is blessed! What a beautiful what beautiful!"
Change Lake
The water in the shower froze and the shower stopped - it was the most fun. When I reached Chhangu, I saw that there was no water in the lake. That's Ice! But I could not enjoy the whole thing because I had difficulty breathing. It was cloudy that day, it was raining a little. So the light was low. Yet I somehow took a picture.
Then from there, I went to Rabangla and Pelling. Kanchenjunga can be seen better from Pelling. Tathagatasthala was the best in Rabangla.
Understand. My favorite mountain to go for a walk. To this day Sikkim and Darjeeling have been called mountains. Apart from that, I have visited Delhi, Rajasthan, Puri, South India, all with my parents. But the way the Himalayas look is incomparable.
Dream of my mind
And I am writing where I want to go. Maybe all wishes may not be fulfilled, but what is the harm in writing?
I have to go to paradise Kashmir. We will visit all the tulip gardens from the lake. Then there is the desire to go to Himachal Pradesh.
I will go to Devprayag once. In my childhood, I was fascinated to see the pictures of the union of the three rivers - Alokananda, Saraswati, and Bhagirathi in a calendar. Saraswati can not be seen, but the other two rivers are different in color! That is what fascinates me.
I want to visit the Hampi site in Karnataka. That Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay's "on the shores of Tungabhadra"! Vijayanagar. Maharaj Devaraya, Manikankana, were they true? Apart from that, I also want to see some part of the Indus Valley Civilization that has fallen in Gujarat.
I heard the Andaman Islands are very beautiful? There is not much tension towards the sea, but you can go.
It started with the mountains and ended with the mountains. It is a shame to say that a beautiful place like Haflong has never been seen from Assam. Just a few hours drive from here.
But I do not want to go abroad. I want to see India better. But what else will it be? When will this covid epidemic decrease? Can you turn around with so much fear? If the epidemic subsides and I have money in my pocket, I will go! Until then, I am happy to see and write pictures.
My memory
That picture of that day reminded me of Chhangu Lake. Whenever I feel bad, I open the picture from time to time. Today, for this reason, Chhangu Lake, surrounded by mountains, calls me again and again.
