Traditional wisdom teaches us to learn from the past, but what about learning from the future? There is at least as much benefit to learning from the future as there was in the past.
The point of learning from the past is how to improve the future. The point of learning from the future is the same.
The future exists now, as the past does, as a mental vision and imagination that you can entertain. So in a sense, learning from the future is just as valid as learning from the past because both are in the same place: the brain; And in the same form: as thought. And, as you will soon see, both can lead to the same result: a better life.
Learning from the past begins with clarifying your vision and perception of a particular event in the past, such as the last time you argued with your partner. You may then consider, what did I do to create or contribute to this unpleasant situation? In that case, you're basically trying to figure out what you did wrong that you don't want to repeat.
To learn from your future, you can imagine a future in which you and your partner are talking in unison and see what you can learn from it. When you learn from the future that you want, you are basically looking for what you have done right so that you can actually repeat it.
To learn from the future, imagine that you would like a situation and ask yourself, what did I do to create it? Then open your heart and mind and see what appears.
One answer that may be obvious is: I imagined it!
Don't stop there, The more you learn, the more you will empower yourself to create what you want. Ask what else can I do for this result? You can come up with the answer: I was ready for the experience. I let myself experience it.
Keep searching for lessons to learn more. For example, you can come up with: I had to focus on my desire to experience it.
Turn these lessons into exercises, so you can get the results you want!
To learn more about your future, invite your future vision so that you can be taught how to get there. You can do this by asking, “How did I make you?”
You may feel like seeing this event as a gift from God and start thanking God as if it has already happened. It can teach you to have a close relationship with your spiritual source.
You can learn from your desired future that things work out the way you want it to, and so live with faith instead of fear.
By finding and applying the lessons of my future, I have found that in the future there is at least something to teach me how to achieve my desires as in the past.
Learning from my future also strengthens my present. Imagining the future as I wish I could experience this future inspiration in the present.
And I know that as I imagine myself living in the future, I want to do more than just learn how to make it. I'm actually creating it, based on the principle that we think about it.
Try it out to discover the joy of applying the wisdom of achieving your chosen future goal.
