According to the Press Trust of India, this is Pakistan's first trip to its neighbor in seven years. In 2016, the Green Shirts visited India for the T20 world cup.

After several delays, the Indian authorities on Monday granted Pakistan's team visas. The PCB expressed its worries on the visa problem in a letter to the International Cricket Council, which led to the development.

India will host the World Cup from October 5 to November 19. Pakistan's first encounter in the tournament is scheduled on October 6 against the Netherlands in Hyderabad, while the highly awaited match versus arch rival India is scheduled for October 14 in Ahmadabad.

The national team will play two warm-up games: one against New Zealand on September 29 and one against Australia on October 3. Previously, the crew was supposed to travel to Dubai on September 25 and remain for two days.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has revealed that it has successfully negotiated a three-year central contacts agreement with its top players, which will run from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2026. As many as 25 cricketers might be offered a historic agreement that includes a cut of ICC earnings. In contrast to last year, red-ball and white-ball national contracts have been combined. The central contract committee presented this choice as a method of evaluating players in terms of winning matches, with the goal of creating a fair and transparent selection process. The roster of players will be separated into four groups, with monthly retainers increasing significantly.

The revenue from ICC will be included in the overall monthly payment.
